We're Not Experts
We’re Not Experts is a podcast hosted by two guys who’ve somehow survived 15+ years of friendship and now think that qualifies them to talk into microphones. We’re average early 30’s dudes with very strong opinions and very average credentials—which is exactly the point.
We’re sports ethicists in the loosest sense of the term, breaking down the morals, madness, and mayhem of a wide variety of sports… but let’s be honest: football will absolutely hijack the conversation. We can talk about other sports. We just won’t stop talking about football.
Expect passionate debates, hot takes that cool off immediately, arguments that go nowhere, and the occasional moment of clarity that surprises everyone—including them. Stats may appear. Logic might leave the room. Confidence will always be high.
We’re not analysts. We’re not insiders. We’re definitely not experts.
We’re just two longtime friends talking sports the way most people do—too confidently, for too long, and with absolutely no credentials to back it up.
We’re Not Experts — and neither are you, so you’ll fit right in.

The Pro Bowl is DEAD, Leonard Williams gets $90 MILLION at 32, Josh Jacobs gets charged, Alec Pierce is back, and Tutu Atwell returns to the Rams
Plus, have we changed our minds on the new uniforms? We discuss some potential season superlatives and the Patriots refusing to pay Christian Gonzalez?
All right. And with that, guys, this is episode 37.
SPEAKER_03Definitely We're Not Experts.
SPEAKER_01I am Justin Butler. That is Riley Jones. Hey, we are live from the cave. Soon. What a great intro to the pod. I mean, he had no idea of recording. We're not cutting it out. We're taking a chance. We're spinning the wheel.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, what's the worst that could happen?
SPEAKER_01It might gain us some fans.
SPEAKER_03We go ram it today. Just ram it. Hey, bro. Hey, look.
SPEAKER_04Why has no team tried to remake that?
SPEAKER_00I don't know, bro.
SPEAKER_04Of all the things to bring back. NFL players. You don't know how I found out about this.
SPEAKER_01Because well, now they'd probably be talking about how like they pulled up on their block with the Glock and it was cocked and somehow translate that to a football game. You know, they'd be rapping about actually murdering.
SPEAKER_04That was like very Grandmaster Flash-like. You know who Grandmaster Flash is? I mean, that's like what, like '84 is when he like uh first came out. Like that's what that type of rap was. I think that was 86. You know how I first heard that?
SPEAKER_01How'd you hear that for the first time?
SPEAKER_04So back in the day, like you know, I don't know, but we were probably like 2021. You know, I worked at night all the time. And uh there was this radio show that would come on, the Ben Mallor show. It still airs to this day.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, I know Ben Mallor. Yeah, Fox Sports. Radio huge fan. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I like him too. Like if if we had like a list of if we had like a list of if we had like a list of dream podcast guests, he is he'd be on there at the top for me.
SPEAKER_01Oh shit.
SPEAKER_04Like, dude, for real, node bullshit. Dude, he was like a big inspiration for me. Like, really? I like his voice. Yeah, great voice. Great voice for radio.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. We have different takes we have different takes because I like Colin Cowherd. I'm not a fan. I like he'd be he'd be he'd be up there for me.
SPEAKER_04Like he has I think he would be a good interview. I think he would be interested.
SPEAKER_01Is like you can watch the first hour of the show and you've seen the show. Yeah, right. Like he he has the hour. It's three hours long. Yeah, that's what I thought. And it's like he does the first hour, and then it's like, all right, we've done this, we've got our guests, yada yada yada. In the second hour, he's like, Alright, we're just gonna talk about the same thing we did in the first hour with different people.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01And then in the third hour, he's like, I'm gonna revisit this again.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I guess I guess it gives you a chance to like dive into an issue. Which I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Give me plenty of opportunities to take in his opinion and agree with him.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_01Ray LeBron, we're good. Ben Simmons is here. That was a bad one. How many times did you say that in that episode?
SPEAKER_04When he was going to Baker's neck. I didn't like that either. That's just because I was a Baker fan.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he also doesn't like Russell Westbrook. Which, hey, you know, we're not an NFL pod. We are an NFL podcast. We we don't talk about really anything primarily, but I love Russell Westbrook. Let's just hit on my boy retiring.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Great career.
SPEAKER_01Nah, I'm not, no, now I gotta throw you in the list too, because I hate that my boy retires and then all of a sudden people want to talk good about him. Like they haven't been calling my boy Westbrook for the past seven, eight, nine years.
SPEAKER_04Westbrook.
SPEAKER_01Westbrook. Yeah, West Brick for seven, eight, nine years. Telling me how terrible he was and all this other stuff and how he sucked. And then now he retires, and all of a sudden he's one of the best to ever do it. I didn't say that.
SPEAKER_04I didn't, I never said that. Did he have like is he a Hall of Famer? Absolutely. First ballot. Look, but the it's not like the NBA Hall of Fame is way different than you.
SPEAKER_01You cannot give me five point guards better than Russell Westbrook. You cannot give me five. Probably not. I mean you would I mean it's I for me, I don't think anybody can give me five.
SPEAKER_04Would would Steve Nash be a better point guard?
SPEAKER_01I don't think so. People are I mean, here's my thing.
SPEAKER_04Jason Kidd. No. No.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_04I'm just throwing out that.
SPEAKER_01No, no.
SPEAKER_04Trying to think of some other great point guards of the past.
SPEAKER_01Isaiah Thomas, no. I don't give a fuck about his rings, okay?
SPEAKER_04Eeks.
SPEAKER_01The fact that he has rings. You can tell that Eats. He's not a better basketball player than Russell Westbrook.
SPEAKER_04It's kind of crazy that that Thunder team with Hard and Russ and KD never got a ring. But it's kind of on brand that Westbrook's gonna finish without a ring. Harden's gonna finish without a ring.
SPEAKER_01KD's got a couple fake ones.
SPEAKER_04Well, I mean, I got on guess they're they're not as fake as the bubble rings.
SPEAKER_01I'll give you that. I agree.
SPEAKER_04He definitely went to an unstoppable force.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right. But it's really sad because, man, um Russell Wait.
SPEAKER_04It's not like Russ. Russ, the thing that I will give Russ credit for is he stuck through with the the OKC Thunder until they didn't want him anymore.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And then even then he went and killed everywhere he went. I respect that. Well, I think it was a way that he wanted to. It was more so like I feel like he killed for the Lakers? I feel like I feel like he did he held off asking for a trade just because of like who he is. Like you just a real one. Like he didn't actually like I feel like he didn't actually want to like leave OKC. He just kind of more so knew that he had he you know what he definitely did?
SPEAKER_04He 100% gave us one of the greatest sound bites of all time.
SPEAKER_00What? Yeah, what are you talking about, bro?
SPEAKER_04What are the greatest sound bites, one of the greatest memes?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I've looked man, I love Russ. He was an he was a dog. You have been you have been a Russ guy for as long as he's been in the league. Absolutely. Hey, look, his prime days in OKC were something to behold. Right. At his peak. Electron. Electronics.
SPEAKER_01If you take peaks, I'm saying I'm really like, if you take at their highest level, I mean, really the only one. It's it's Steph's probably the only true peak that I would take over him from an individual basketball player.
SPEAKER_04Steph was better than Russ. Chris Paul's.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm talking about historically. No. Chris Paul at his best, I don't think is better than Russell Westbrook at his best. And you can sit here and stay stat padding all you want, but you can go back and look at the statistics. The winning percentages that he had when they had a triple double, when he had a triple double versus when he didn't is not is amazing.
SPEAKER_04It's just the real question is why I didn't translate in the playoffs.
SPEAKER_01Because the reality of it is those teams that they put around him weren't a championship caliber team for a Russell Westbrook. It's hard for a 6'3 point guard to be the number one on a championship team. That's just how it is. It's it's really kind of always been that way. It went from being big men, it went from being dominated by who's got the best big in the league, that's probably gonna be the best team. Then you went and it's wing play, forwards. Now, shit, now we're in the big guard era where you can't be you can't be 6'3 and play in the NBA.
SPEAKER_04That's literally what KD said. He was like, you're a bench player at most. If you're like 6'2, 6'3.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_04It's crazy.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it's true. I mean, how many point guards you see now? 6'5.
SPEAKER_04A bunch.
SPEAKER_01You got you got LeBron running point, Luca running point. They had Cooper Flagg running point in Dallas last year as a rookie.
SPEAKER_04You got your Jamal Murray's of the world.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but he's still, I think, what, 6'4?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_01Anyways, I just wanted to shout out my boy on the pod. Shout out Russell Westbrook. I had a shout out Russell Westbrook for a great career. We love you, Brody. He loves you, Brody. I love you, Brody. Yeah. Anyways, I don't hate you. Back to what we're really here for, man. NFL season is almost here. Oh my God.
SPEAKER_04The Pro Bowl's dead. It started off with that.
SPEAKER_01They should have done that a long time ago.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I see. A bunch of funny tweets on Twitter. It said that as soon as they named Shador to the Pro Bowl, they knew that they had to overcome it.
SPEAKER_01They knew it was over. Bro, it was Joe Burrow, Joe Flacco, and Shador.
SPEAKER_04What, Tyler Huntley made it one year?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, bro. Look, maybe, just maybe hear me out. I mean, they did the right thing by getting rid of it. I'll take it a step further. I don't even like the fact that they're still doing a Pro Bowl at all. We're gonna have 88 people voted. We already do something similar like that. It's called all pro.
SPEAKER_04Which is what really matters.
SPEAKER_01Right. I mean I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I mean, the Pro Bowl, I mean, you definitely hear players talk about the city.
SPEAKER_01Bro, you can go be they look, Tyler Huntley was a pro bowler. Yeah I don't think that anything should be determined by fan voting because that's a popularity contest. I agree with that. Like I agree with that. Because if it wasn't a like, think about it. How many people have been pro voted over somebody else that they're clearly not better than?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it just becomes down to who just give me the all-pro.
SPEAKER_01You're not gonna give me the Pro Bowl games and all that stuff. Okay, I don't need anything with the Pro Bowl.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it was a lost cause. Just give me the I can't even remember the last time I watched the Pro Bowl.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and it's like 88 people. It's like, bro. I'm glad it's gone. A lot of the people that are probably actually voting on the fucking Pro Bowl probably can't even tell you 88 players in the NFL. Like real shit.
SPEAKER_02That's true too. That's true too. The Pro Bowls did.
SPEAKER_04Congrats to the NFL for making a good decision. Shador fucked it up.
SPEAKER_01Just when they thought they were making it better by playing flag football and obstacle courses and whatnot instead of a football game.
SPEAKER_04Did you see? I have this real quick. Did you see that the new rule changes for like the hip drop tackles? I saw that something happened, but I didn't exactly see what it was. Hold on, give me a second here. Okay. So the NFL and the NFL PA have announced that players who commit three violations in any of these categories in a season will be suspended for one game. Hip drop tackle, horse collar tackle, launching hit on a defensive player, blind side block. I like that. You like it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I mean, it's way better. It's like repeat a like it's a repeat offender thing. It's not like how in college football I used to get hit with targeting, and then now it's you miss the half of the game for one play. Like I if you're a repeat offender and you do something like that, because those are all dirty plays.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So we're giving you're telling me it takes three occurrences for that. I'm fine with that.
SPEAKER_04The part of the problem with it all is it's like super subjective.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Which some of it is.
SPEAKER_01I feel like the hip drop tackle is pretty obvious. The hip drop is- I feel like that doesn't get caught enough.
SPEAKER_04It's pretty obvious. Yeah, a lot of that's probably the one where people get hurt the most.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. The defenseless Hitler, I think the defenseless hit on our on a player is kind of the one that's kind of iffy for me because you gotta think. Sometimes shit like that happens. It's like you're just going for a tackle in real time. Like how many times you see somebody get lit up over the middle. This is what I mean. Like that's on your quarterback for throwing a fucking hospital ball.
SPEAKER_05Like launching.
SPEAKER_01If he catches his ball, it's a 20-yard crosser, but I lay his ass out. Now I give him another 15 because your quarterback threw a hospital ball. Like, what is launching?
SPEAKER_04Like, I'm assuming that's when you're like launching.
SPEAKER_01I think it's gonna like if you're yeah, uh is it that or I thought it may have been like if you're sacking the quarterback and you're like, nah, that's just putting your weight on him. Like, I don't have that in there too. Yeah. So that's cool. I'm cool with I'm cool with doing that for dirty shit, but I don't like the one giving them one time and it'd be a suspension. I wouldn't like anything like that.
SPEAKER_04Right, especially if it was like a true accident.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I I feel like for the for the most part, you see these players play, like, yeah, you're trying to win and you're competing and stuff like that, but like the NFL's a brotherhood, so I don't think anybody's out here actually like trying to hurt each other.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't think so either. I don't think so.
SPEAKER_01They're not like, oh man, let me try to tear his ACL so we can win.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, most I mean, all those guys pretty much know each other for the most part, too.
SPEAKER_01So let me do that and then go train with them in the offseason in a rehab.
SPEAKER_04Right. You know, a lot of it is just a mistake, I think. I we got some good news and we got some bad news. Which one would you like to hear first? Start with the good news. Alec Pierce is off the PUP.
SPEAKER_01You love that.
SPEAKER_04Brother, we're alive.
SPEAKER_00He's back. We thought the Keenan Allen sign and Mitt a lot.
SPEAKER_01Turns out we are back.
SPEAKER_04That's great news for me because I've said a lot of some think outlandish things about Alec Pierce.
SPEAKER_01You're a big Alec Pierce guy. And and look, I think the thing I'm excited about it is now I get to show you that you're wrong. Like now he gets to come out here and be a built-in excuse anymore. Look, you're gonna be like, see, he was great, man. He went from 47 catches to 60 and 1,100 yards. His yards per catch is gonna go down, he's gonna get a little bit more catches, and you're gonna be like, oh, he was great. Is that a $30 million a year receiver?
SPEAKER_04Hey man, I've heard multiple receivers in the NFL say the a thousand yards is like the point of demarcation.
SPEAKER_01Man, but I just feel like there's like 30 of them every year now. I don't especially with this extra game. I don't think it's 30. I doubt it's 30. If nobody, if not, if half the league doesn't die.
SPEAKER_04Hey, that's part of it. Health is wealth. Health is wealth, brother. Here's the bad news. Josh Jacobs has been charged. He's been charged. Someone told me. There's video and audio.
SPEAKER_01And yeah, and audio. He threw her to the ground. Someone told me that they would have arrested him on the spot. Man. Turns out when the police presence was there, I don't believe he had left the scene after the altercation, I believe, right?
SPEAKER_04I don't know, but isn't that what happened?
SPEAKER_01So what do you think the NFL does? Like, what do you think the NFL does suspension-wise?
SPEAKER_04So I think like under the new CBA, it's like a minimum six-game suspension for domestic violence or like assault events.
SPEAKER_01So but they're gonna have to wait until that comes to like a resolution, right?
SPEAKER_04Right. That's what I was just about to say. It probably nothing will probably happen. Until next year.
SPEAKER_01That's I hate that. Just suspend them now. And then if you're the case, you just cut them a check.
SPEAKER_04If you're him, you would probably want to get suspended now, right?
SPEAKER_01I would rather. I mean, especially now that there's like evidence that you here's the thing. If there's video evidence of him throwing her to the ground and everything and all that other stuff, like there's no reason, like, even if you see it, regardless of it, I've we've now seen it, he should be out of here. Like, regardless of the situation of what he gets ended up charged with, etc., etc. It should like he shouldn't have that. Like, he shouldn't have the option to steal that. Like, we saw you throw this woman to the ground, you're suspended six games.
SPEAKER_04Hey, look, if you're about to draft in in fantasy, might take a waiver on Marshawn Lloyd at the end of the draft.
SPEAKER_01I'm thinking about picking him up in Dynasty. Just for another little bench piece. I don't know. He looked fat as fuck.
SPEAKER_04I like Marshawn Lloyd when he came out. I uh you got on here, has your opinion changed on any new uniform? Is that did did your opinion change on any new uniform?
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah. Alright. I didn't realize the pictures that I seen. I guess this is the problem with having a privacy screen on your phone. I didn't see that the Jaguars pants and their jerseys were cheetah print. Hard leopard. Nah, that's soft as fuck, bro.
SPEAKER_04That shit's hard. That's them jerseys are so sick.
SPEAKER_01I to be honest with you, the one- So you like the fucking print on the pants?
SPEAKER_04I mean, is it like is it like a fashion choice that I would choose in my regular I clearly you would. You like it. I I wouldn't. No. You like it? Fresh in a uniform. Do I like the uniform? I absolutely like the uniform. No, it feels. I I just feel like you're not gonna like this, but I think even the Texans a little bit. I don't love the Texans as much as I love everyone else's. They've grown on you. But I don't hate them. Like, there's a bunch of Titans fans like shitting on them and shit like that online. I don't, I'm not necessarily in that camp. I kind of I kind of like them. I kind of like the jerseys, but the ones that have grown on me the most are 100% the Packers. Dude, those things are fresh. Those things are so fresh.
SPEAKER_00You like the little money font?
SPEAKER_04Dude, it's I like everything about those jerseys. The helmet's fresh.
SPEAKER_00It's literally just their white helmet.
SPEAKER_04No, it's not. They added that yellow strip at the tie, dude. It's sick. It's sick. Those jerseys are sick. I and look, I I still do think that the the Detroit Panthers but the jerseys fire. Like it, they're fire. It is a fire jersey. It's a fire jersey. The well, who else do we get? The Colts, fire.
SPEAKER_01The Colts is elite. I think the Colts might for me be number two.
SPEAKER_04So Titans are number one for me. Yeah. And that's not even me being biased. I think that it's just the best looking for. I think that it's just the best looking jersey of the bunch. And then it's probably the Packers.
SPEAKER_01I think they have the most detail for me. Like they have the most little details that I like. Right. Like the little I think for me, like the little amplified guitar strings and shit, and the numbers and the stitching and shit. Like that's hard to me.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. It looks good.
SPEAKER_01The neon vibes really kind of like brings in the music city.
SPEAKER_04I think that I also think that it was just like, you know, like it's a nice way to start out the new jerseys. Like you're going into a new stadium next year. Like the helmet. The helmet's sick.
SPEAKER_01It almost makes me wish something like that would have been the rebrand, honestly.
SPEAKER_04Those jerseys? Yeah. The music city, the the name, the tag on there.
SPEAKER_01Or like a or like their primary alternate. I would love that. I don't like the fact that they're only gonna wear it once in a season. Like, I don't like that teams do that. You got all these sick ass unis. I was talking to somebody about it at work today. Like, I would like to see teams should be mandated, like obviously you've got like your regular home and away for most of the season. Right. Like every team should be mandated to have a black jersey. Every team should have to have a throwback jersey that gets worn throughout the season.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I think more jerseys the better. There, you know that we're not like I don't think that we're like, I think that we're on the other side of this. Like I think most people would like there not to be as many jerseys.
SPEAKER_01They just want to be a lot of Penn State, Alabama.
SPEAKER_04Nah, I don't know about that. I think people are just like so. I saw Big Cap from Barstool say that he got he had like jersey fatigue.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Why?
SPEAKER_04He was sick of all these teams getting jerseys. I don't I don't know why.
SPEAKER_01But who wouldn't want to see a team get fresh as fuck? That's my point. That's more of the appeal to watching football.
SPEAKER_04Like, that is my point too. Like, who would not want to sit over here and be fresh?
SPEAKER_01Well, think about it. And I can say this for a fact. A lot of a lot of women, especially, like they pay attention to shit like that.
SPEAKER_04What the jerseys?
SPEAKER_01Like, like how the the player what the players are wearing, like like the aesthetic of football. Right. Yeah. And not only that, as a for the players, I feel like it's like a lot of them will say it. You look good, you feel good, you feel good, you play good. That's where I'm at with it. Like, man, I know I'm gonna feel better if I walk into a locker room and I've got and I'm fresh as fuck.
SPEAKER_04Fresh as fuck.
SPEAKER_01I'm looking in here like I feel way better. Man, you know, people saw them jerseys.
SPEAKER_04If I put on a dingy ass this sleeve, if I put on a dingy ass Penn State uniform, brother, I feel like a scrub. I feel like I'm going to play prison ball.
SPEAKER_01And if you are a recruit listening to this, yes, we are saying don't go and be traditional. That shit's not fire. Yeah, good. Alabama's jerseys are terrible. Man, go get fresh as fuck and get a bunch of people that also want to get fresh as fuck with you, and then we can, you know, we can grow a program.
SPEAKER_04I swear to God. You gotta grow a program.
SPEAKER_01I know I'm not the only one that sits over here and is like, yeah, I don't, like, I don't want to fucking go to a place where you would have been a let if you're Micah Parsons and you walk on Penn State Stadium and you walk in the locker room, you're like, all right, coach, what we what we kidding up in? I ain't never I don't know much about Penn State. And you walk in, they're like, shit, well, we got a navy blue jersey with a white helmet and white pants. And then we got this white jersey with the white helmet and the blue pants. No, they don't even do that. They go all white. Yeah, they go all white. Pants never change. It's stupid. I'm gonna be like, Coach, I ain't gonna lie to you, bro. How am I supposed to beat Ohio State if I don't feel good? Like, what do you mean you don't feel good? Bro, these fits are fucking trash.
SPEAKER_04Trash. And here's the real problem Penn State has is like You got a hundred thousand people looking at this bullshit. Yeah, and it's all about the white out. And you know, yeah, it's cool, it's loud, it's a great atmosphere, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But it's like you can't sit over here and be like, I'm trying to be fresh as fuck. Like it, yeah, like I'm not inclined. There's no way the jersey sales are great. Like I'm not inclined to buying that shit. I can just buy a blue t-shirt.
SPEAKER_00I swear to God.
SPEAKER_04It's a fucking blue t-shirt made into a jersey. Why not just go buy it?
SPEAKER_01Somebody go see that shit from afar and be like, damn, bro, got on a starter jersey. Man, what who's who is that? Ain't got no brand in nothing. Just that little small ass emblem.
SPEAKER_04Enough about Penn State. Because they're gonna be good this year.
SPEAKER_01As far as the jerseys go, yeah, I still don't necessarily love Houstons. I don't love Green Bay's either. I don't like I don't love the pants. Like after seeing the pants for the Jacksonville, like I like the jersey. The helmet's cool with me. I like that. The pants can't do it.
SPEAKER_04Is it because like everybody was saying it's very feminine? Everybody was saying it reminded them of some type of Lululemon pants.
SPEAKER_01I yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's funny.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, bro. I wouldn't, I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I wouldn't kid up in that. It's not the pants that made it bad for me. It was the fact that they made Parker Washington the star of the uniform.
SPEAKER_01Who should it have been? I don't know. I guess it's probably Trevor Lawrence.
SPEAKER_04I guess he really is wide receiver one. I mean, you would think it would be Trevor Lawrence.
SPEAKER_01Speaking of that, we don't have this on the notes. You see that uh BTJs might be a little hurt again.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh. I mean, I'm I've sold my BTJ stock, so I've stopped watching that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you were you were you were in on BTJ early.
SPEAKER_04I was in on BTJ early.
SPEAKER_01It's like you caught a penny stock on a on and dumped it.
SPEAKER_04And sold high. At its peak. I sold very high.
SPEAKER_01You feel like a winner.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that is. You know what's crazy is I actually wanted to trade back for him at one point. Because like I bought back in and then I don't know, like the Parker Washington hype's like pretty real.
SPEAKER_01You think it's legit? I don't like Parker Washington.
SPEAKER_04Like, I I like he legitimately, like this sounds crazy, but he legitimately might be wide receiver one in Jacksonville. Yeah, I like him more than I like let me tell you this if BTJ is actually hurt, he is wide receiver one in Jacksonville.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, well, yeah. I mean, he's better than Jacoby Myers, maybe. But who's also hurt? That is true. I like Parker Washington more than I like Michael Wilson. I believe in Parker Washington.
SPEAKER_04I mean, Michael Wilson was only on pace for Jerry Rice records when he was playing. But I'm just when Marv was out, yeah. I'm just saying he was the most incredible wide receiver of football. Hey, they said Marv's been balling. That's what I'm saying, man. Look, we looked at it.
SPEAKER_01It might end up working out for the for the kid.
SPEAKER_04Leonard Williams paid. 32%. Look, $90 million, three-year extension. So is it'll be up at when he's 35. As an insane bag. Normally, I would say I wouldn't want to pay. Look, has he been great? Absolutely. Is big. He is a great player.
SPEAKER_01I feel like there might be a little Super Bowl tax on top of that.
SPEAKER_04Oh man, that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01Being an impactful player for a player when you win the Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_04They've paid a lot of Super Bowl tax this offseason.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they cut a check.
SPEAKER_04What Derek Hall, Devon Witherspoon, JSN, Leonard Williams. I mean, all those contracts are huge. I actually don't mind paying Leonard Williams this money. Really? I don't.
SPEAKER_01That's actually kind of surprising. That's like against the grain for you.
SPEAKER_04I I think he's like he is that good. He's a Vita Vea type character. Yeah. Like Vita Vea's going to be one of those guys. Like he also got paid. We forgot to get around the show. And you know, like he like I think he's going to be a game wrecker for another three, four years, too. I don't know, man. It's just hard. Like, I don't think, like, 32, I don't think it's the end for the city.
SPEAKER_01I don't think it'd be one of those things. I'd probably rather pay him and just like commit to him by look, we're just gonna take this year by year.
SPEAKER_04I haven't gone into the contract, so I'm pretty sure that there's probably a get-out clause in year two or three. I haven't had time to dig into it either. And like I would assume that that's the case. Because I mean, you know, like but it you pay him this money because one, he like helps you get a Super Bowl. He's also sick. Yeah, he's sick. And if you can get one more year out of it.
SPEAKER_01And sometimes, I mean, sometimes it's worth it to keep that D-line intact.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, their D-line's insane. I don't know. I don't have you watched any of Hard Knocks this year. I haven't.
SPEAKER_01I'm not a Hard Knocks guy.
SPEAKER_04It is uh excellent production. You should check it out.
SPEAKER_01I've been slacking on the TV world. I've been watching a lot of Land Man.
SPEAKER_04Hey, that shit's elite. Yeah, I got hooked on that shit quick. We are in no way sponsored by Laying Man, I assure you. But buddy, if you got time and you have Paramount Plus, you should 100% go and watch that show.
SPEAKER_01A lady at work told me my next watch is they told me to watch Lioness.
SPEAKER_04They I have also heard that that is a really good show. Made by the same person. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I uh we're watching I think my wife's already watched it, but I'm in the middle of uh Night Agent. I don't know if you ever watched it.
SPEAKER_01Hard.
SPEAKER_04Hard in the first season.
SPEAKER_01Immediately hard. Like as soon as it starts.
SPEAKER_04The first season's insane. So I'm like two or three episodes into the second season.
SPEAKER_01So it's like that literally from beginning to end.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. It's pretty crazy. My boy Peter. Sick. Peter Sutterman.
SPEAKER_01Bro, he's the sickest.
SPEAKER_04He's the man. Yeah. He is the man. He should get paid three years 90 million. We're like, I'm like two or three episodes into the second season.
SPEAKER_01Oh, in the second season. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I finished the first season's nuts.
SPEAKER_01It's crazy as fuck. And it just gets it just keeps going, bro.
SPEAKER_03It's crazy as hell.
SPEAKER_04So yeah, if you have some time before football starts, because it starts what, 13 days. Something like that.
SPEAKER_01Landman. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. You can get it, you could definitely binge both of these shows.
SPEAKER_01Landman, Night Agent. Yeah. Bangers. Two certified bangers.
SPEAKER_04Absolutely. Two great shows. And other news.
SPEAKER_01Well, we can hit on the Vita Veyer real quick because we didn't get to talk about him. Really? I don't really have a whole lot to add about other than the fact that the Bucks are smart for keeping him. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Do you know why I think it's significant? It's only like a one-year deal. And it's like $28 million guaranteed. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He deserves it. He wanted to get paid. Did you see the video of him moving that dude from the Jags at the joint practice?
SPEAKER_04That's a fucking horse right there, brother. That is a large man.
SPEAKER_01And he's fast as fuck. And bro.
SPEAKER_03He's so fast.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if I've seen it moved him like a sled. I was I was literally. I thought dude might have torn his ACL the way he was like getting pushed back.
SPEAKER_04I was listening to an episode of Bustin with the Boys today, and they had Kirk Herbstreet on. And they were talking about how Taylor Lewan saw Vitavea get lined up on the edge. And he was like, Yeah, he can play anywhere. He's like, he's that big and he can do it all. Yeah. He can go anywhere on the D-line.
SPEAKER_01He's he's a guy.
SPEAKER_04And he's plugging up two holes.
SPEAKER_01Man.
SPEAKER_04That's a bro, he's big pause. Large, large paws. But he is. He is a hole plugger in every sense of the word. 100%. The pause is crazy. And you know what?
SPEAKER_01Shout out, shout out to the old players getting to that bag again.
SPEAKER_04Listen.
SPEAKER_01BCA is a good one.
SPEAKER_04Is it significant? Is it significant for Vitavea to get that money? It's well deserved. One. Two, like, this is Ruben Bain's dream.
SPEAKER_01Bruh. Have you seen the video of him?
SPEAKER_04Let me tell you something. We could have drafted him at four, and I don't think we would have been disappointed.
SPEAKER_01I told you that. I told you if we didn't get Jeremiah Love, that's who is who I wanted.
SPEAKER_04It does not look like alligator arms is going to be an issue. Brother.
SPEAKER_01He is moving people, bro.
SPEAKER_04He seems to have it. Whatever it is.
SPEAKER_01I don't think that there is a person who is more pissed off. Yeah. Ah, he's pissed.
SPEAKER_04He's going to be like the DN version of Amon Ra. You know how he keeps the names of all the wide receivers that were drafted before him? I know you've seen that. He has like a notebook.
SPEAKER_01There ain't that many people.
SPEAKER_04Right. There isn't that many people, but it's just like it's kind of crazy to watch him in some of these. I mean it's just training camp, but like it's kind of crazy to see how he's manhandling people. I mean, he's treating people like children.
SPEAKER_01Bro, but we saw, but we talked about this early on in the draft process. I mean, one, I'm a Miami fan, so like I've been watching Ruby Main. Right. But like you well, you've literally like watched the game, and it's like, okay. He's a hard one. The ball snapped, and it seems like he's there every play. He wrecks the house. He's there every play. He he the motor is insane.
SPEAKER_04The motor's insane.
SPEAKER_01There's not a snap.
SPEAKER_04It would have been interesting to see what Rock like what Bobby Salah could have done with that.
SPEAKER_01I mean, hey, look, I'll say this. I'm just looking at just looking at Carnell Tate and get five targets, no catches.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but I'm saying, hold on. Yeah, but Jamar Chase had one catch in preseason.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm just talking shit. You know, I don't put any stock in preseason. But seriously, Ruben Bain is gonna be the guy. He might be the guy. I'm I'm looking at Ruben Bain, and I feel like at the end of the year, we're gonna come in and we're gonna say, how the fuck did these people draft the so-and-so and so-and-so over them, over him? Because it was there. And if and if it's really because of his arm length is the only thing that you can say, I'd be like, oh.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I mean, there is some crazy statistics about arm length. That's fine. But I you know, statistics definitely aren't everything.
SPEAKER_01They are not Reuben Bain.
SPEAKER_04There is definitely outliers, too.
SPEAKER_01Man.
SPEAKER_04There's an outlier for everything.
SPEAKER_01And Reuben Bain is a fucking dog.
SPEAKER_04And he might just be the outlier. I think I think so. 2-2 Atwell has been traded back to the Rams from the Dolphins for I think Jaquiz Hunter.
SPEAKER_01Jarquiz Hunter.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He was some look, he was supposed to take Blake Coram's spot. Yeah, that's all how that was. And then Blake Coram said, alright, I'm gonna play for my career. It looked good last year. People are saying Blake Coram might take Kyron's spot.
SPEAKER_04I don't believe that, but it could definitely be like a 60-40.
SPEAKER_01I don't think Kyron, I don't think Kyron Williams is great.
SPEAKER_04I like Kyron.
SPEAKER_01I like him, but I don't love him.
SPEAKER_04I wouldn't pay him. Does this does they already have said I wouldn't? Said I wouldn't. I mean, I would. I'd probably pay Kyron. He's a top 12 running back in the league. What, like 12 mil? Yeah, I mean he's not getting a Bichon bag.
SPEAKER_01You should feel like if you feel like people look at Kyron and say Bichon's getting 25.
SPEAKER_04I would give him a Brees bag. What did Brees get? 15, 16? Something like that. Yeah. I think Brees Hall is better than Kyron. For sure. I mean, there was a point in Brees Hall's career where he was talked about like Bichon was talked about. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Then he tore his ACM.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, 100%. Does uh do you think this trade means that we see Puka get suspended? Or is this just them getting a wide receiver three?
SPEAKER_01I feel I feel like I like I feel like it's more that than anything. I mean, part of it is is one, Tutu Atwell was nice and like the in spots, like what he brought to that offense, I like it. Yeah. So you're bringing in someone that's familiar with the offense, they can be a threat. Yeah, I mean, you you look at it and you're saying, okay, we're rolling with Kyron Williams and we're rolling with Blake Coram. Like any running back can be the third running back. Bringing Daryl Henderson back.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I mean, seriously. I uh okay, let's flip it to the other side. Who you think this is is are we gonna see an all-rookie uh wide receiving core on the field for two wide receiver sets? Oh, Chris Bell's off the PUP. He's back. He from the videos I seen in training camp, he looked pretty healthy. He didn't have a non-contact jersey on. I don't know. Look, I'm a I like Chris Bell.
SPEAKER_01I do too. We both liked him coming out of college.
SPEAKER_04I think that he doesn't help who first grade wide receiver that had injury concerns. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He could have been a first round pick.
SPEAKER_04I yeah. He was balling a little. And it looks like Caleb Douglas might be decent. Is there could there be any surprise there? Surprises in what? Like, could Chris Bell or Caleb Douglas be a guy?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, any yeah, for sure. Could be, yeah. I think Chris Bell is more likely.
SPEAKER_04I do too. Do you think it happens?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I th I just feel like he's there. I just feel like they're in a really bad position.
SPEAKER_04They are. I've been thinking about trading for Chris Bell. That's part of the reason why I wanted to talk about it.
SPEAKER_01What are you like give what are you thinking to give up for something like that? I don't know. I got a bunch of shit to give up if I wanted to. I feel like you'd be trading down. Yeah, probably.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I don't know if he like I don't know if he's gonna like contribute this season. But your roster's loaded. From a dynasty perspective, it's loaded. Yeah, but why not keep building for the future? We never stop building. That is true.
SPEAKER_01It's never enough.
SPEAKER_04We never stop building. We just we just we just keep going. We just keep adding bricks, and then one day it's gonna be the great pyramid of Giza.
SPEAKER_01There we go.
SPEAKER_04You know what I'm saying? It's gonna be the most marvelous, spectacular fantasy football team ever assembled.
SPEAKER_01And instead, it's looking like Charles Barclay, Dan Marino, Charles Barclay, Ring Bliss. A lot of great you'll get there.
SPEAKER_04We'll uh we got one more story and then we're gonna talk season superlatives.
SPEAKER_01Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_04This is probably the biggest story of the day. It is Shefty came out and said that the Patriots don't want to pay Christian Gonzalez, Devin Weatherspin money.
SPEAKER_01How do I feel? I think I understand it. Is it the most Patriots thing? Yeah, it kind of feels like Rabel's going back to his way. I'd rather pay Christian Gonzalez than AJ Brown, but hey. Well, just in the age, yeah, of course. Or I mean Christian Gonzalez is better than AJ Brown.
SPEAKER_04They literally play the opposite.
SPEAKER_01Alright, he's a better corner than AJ Brown is wide receiver.
SPEAKER_04I think AJ Brown's gonna be elite this year.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I I that's just how good Christian Gonzalez is. I feel like if you put Christian Gonzalez on AJ Brown, Christian Gonzalez is gonna put him in a box. He's gonna have him reading a book on the sideline.
SPEAKER_04Well, I mean, I don't think that's been the case in camp.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Maybe that's why they don't want to pay him. They're like, hold on.
SPEAKER_04I couldn't be wrong about that. I'm pretty sure I read some stuff about how Christian Gonzalez was getting burned. Uh yeah, but I mean, look, that dude, that is the hard that is the second hardest position in football to play, and it's not even close. Can't win every rep. Yeah, unless you're Darrell Reeves and his peak. He was putting people in boxes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Little boxes, too. Like he was stuffing them in boxes.
SPEAKER_00One catch.
SPEAKER_04Man.
SPEAKER_00One catch, eight yards.
SPEAKER_04These weren't boxes with air.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_04Like these were boxes that were too small.
SPEAKER_01They came out dead. They had to be revived from this on the scene.
SPEAKER_04That cat that I think it was like 07. There is an outstanding clip of Chad Ochocinko talking about that season. I think it was in 07 or 08, maybe 09. Whatever season it was, where he played Terrell Owens, he played Randy Moss twice. He played Chad Ocho. And I mean, he was goose egging this game. Andre Johnson. I mean, it was insane the list of receivers he went against.
SPEAKER_01And nobody torched him. And put them on. Nobody.
SPEAKER_04They all got put in a UPS box. Shipped on out of here.
SPEAKER_01Revis Island. They got sent to Guantanamo Bay.
SPEAKER_04Gold Jacket?
SPEAKER_01Revis?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. He should be. Is he not yet?
SPEAKER_04I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I feel like he gotta be.
SPEAKER_04He should be.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I feel like that's one of those things you are surprised if you find out that he's not. Would you be mad? Probably. I mean, he could have gone to the hall off that season alone, but bro, he did that for years. The thing about corners is, man, is it it feels like you see them like come on early, but their peak is like the first contract, and then they start falling off, or you see them coming, take two, three, four years to become that guy, and then they're just that for three years and then they fall off. Like, I just feel like the like corners just don't like dominate for 12, 13, 14 years anymore.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well, I mean, you're guarding the most talented players on the field, period. Yeah, and if you lose outside of Jameer Gibbs and B. John Robinson and Christian McCaffrey, like the wide receivers on every team are most they're like most of the time, like the most athletic player, like the fastest players. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, not only that, as a corner, it's it's more reactive than anything. You gotta adjust based off what they're doing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, 100%. You gotta be able to run backwards, basically. Yeah, have that fluid movement take off. Let's talk some superlatives here.
SPEAKER_01Last time we talked, we've had some playoff teams that we like that some of us no longer like. Alright. We've some of us had some MVP picks that we've changed our minds on.
SPEAKER_04Is that you?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'm I'm out on Caleb. Wow. I saw that jersey reveal and I saw my man at what looked like a somewhat compromising position. It was a bit odd. He kind of looked predator-ish.
SPEAKER_04It was just odd.
SPEAKER_01It's odd. It's like Especially for a football thing. I saw that and I'm like, he thought of that.
SPEAKER_04I feel like they're just playing on the case.
SPEAKER_01All he needed to do, what really would have made it take off was what if he would have threw up the bear down. If he would have threw up the painted nails and the bear claw, oh bro.
SPEAKER_04I just I feel like the they're just playing on the zest. I think it's just a play on the zest. So gets clicks.
SPEAKER_01When he's doing shit like that.
SPEAKER_03Well, I mean, hey, look, I get it. It's just weird.
SPEAKER_00Just a little weird.
SPEAKER_04I'm looking at the uh regular season MVP voting odds right now. Josh Allen. He is tied with Dak Prescott.
SPEAKER_01I think Dak's about to have a massive year.
SPEAKER_04100%. If those two wide receivers can stay healthy and Javante Williams is what he was last year, that offense is gonna be And Dak MVP? Ridiculous. Interesting. I uh out of all these names, like Joe Burrow stands out to me at plus eight fifty. A lot of people like that too. Yeah, that's probably a pretty good pick. But once you get like Justin Herbert at plus a thousand, I could 100% see that. Yeah. That seems like some RA value. You know, like I don't I don't think this will happen, especially not off of ACL, but Patrick Mahomes at plus a thousand, that's probably a steal. Seems possible. You hate that though. I don't love it. Yeah, you're you're you're out on the Chiefs. I mean, I wouldn't say I'm out. I'm definitely out on most of their pass catchers besides Cyrus Allen. Big Cyrus Allen guy here. I got him in our other dynasty league. Uh see here. You know Deshaun Watson's only plus 20,000 to win MVP. You think there's any chance that happens? Let's see what else we got. Absolutely not. I mean, there's some crazy like Cam Ward's plus six thousand. Nah, I don't like that either. Yeah, Bo Nick's plus 3,500. What do you think about Jalen Hurts?
SPEAKER_01I feel like that's not bad, actually.
SPEAKER_04What do you think about Jalen Hurts at plus 2800?
SPEAKER_01So I mean, you know, if that team wins, he's gonna be balling out.
SPEAKER_04100. And he's one, he's a guy that he does not turn over the ball a ton. He doesn't he doesn't turn, he doesn't fumble very Off and he doesn't throw a ton of picks. You know, if he has some crazy touchdown to interception ratio, you could see a world where he's in the running Brock Purdy at plus 1800.
SPEAKER_01I mean, a lot of people love a lot of people love Bo Nicks this year. So like I feel like if you're a Bo Nicks guy and you believe in Bo Nicks, I like his value. You said it was plus 3,500?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's some solid value. I mean, he did have the most pass attempts last year.
SPEAKER_04The Matthew Stafford one's a little bit surprising at plus 1400, but I don't what what's like the odds on like a repeat MVP? Yeah, I feel like that's part of the reason why. Right. And let's see. Who'd you have for offensive player of the year?
SPEAKER_01Bijan. Plus 900.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's probably. I like if if he doesn't get suspended, Puka at plus 1300 looks nice. Shit, I mean. Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray re-emerges with Jettas at plus 1800 getting that back. You can never count out Christian McCaffrey at plus 2,000.
SPEAKER_04Jettas did say that people were going to see why he's the best receiver in the NFL this year.
SPEAKER_01I mean, Kyler Murray's way better than JJ McCarthy. Nine. They're saying 9 might be out of there. They said 9 might get cut.
SPEAKER_04They said Tyrone Tracy might get cut, too. Surprising. Well, I mean, he sucks. He did let Jackson Dart off the back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that just is absolutely.
SPEAKER_04He did almost let him die.
SPEAKER_01Damn, defensive player of the year has Miles Garrett at plus 400 now. That almost feels like there's a lot of people.
SPEAKER_04What did you get? Tell me what you got, Ruben Bain, at rookie defensive player of the year. I I cashed it out because I was waiting for the boost. Yeah, but what? But I think it was like plus 650, maybe. Oh, it's at plus 450 now with him leading.
SPEAKER_01He was second behind, was it David Bailey, I think?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, David Bailey's now second.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy. Look, I've got another, I've got another sleeper for MVP. Right?
SPEAKER_04Jared Goff. I mean, I don't think that that's crazy. Especially the Detroit Panthers.
SPEAKER_01I mean, that offense is gonna bounce back. They're gonna have a good year.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Gibbs. He's I mean, he's got two of the best weapons in the NFL with Gibbs and Aminra. Right.
SPEAKER_01Laporta might well Laporta might be starting the year missing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's fine. You got J-Mo. That is fine. That is true. Like, they have so many weapons. It's uh oh, Johnu Smith signed with the Packers today. You see that? What does that mean? Uh nothing. It doesn't mean anything. Yeah, I don't, I don't, I don't, I'm not a good thing. He might come in and tank Tucker Kraft back. No, he won't do that. Tucker Kraft's a man child. Man.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm still rocking. I'm still I'm still believing in Carnell Tate, offensive player, rookie of the year. I believe in Cam Ward.
SPEAKER_04You know what's great value? Deshaun Tribling at plus 1100. I feel like he could have got that at way better value before like. Yeah, before training. Yeah. I think it's still a good I think it's a good value.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I mean, he's got potential to have a big role. There's a chance he's the one week one. Yeah. Makai Lemon at fifth plus 1,500. Yeah, I'm not touching. That's kind of concerning.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I wouldn't touch him or Jordan Tyson.
SPEAKER_01Carson Beck, sleeper, plus 2,500. What are you looking on?
SPEAKER_04FanDuel. All DraftKings. It's a plus 28 on DraftKings. Ooh. There's a little more value on that side, huh? Catcher value. I mean, that's free money. I actually don't I don't know. Like, yeah, I watch Jeremia Love, and it's gonna be hard to dethrone that. If he's healthy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04He's a he's sick.
SPEAKER_01But I think Cardinal Tate has so much opportunity. I just think that the bulk of that offense is still gonna run through him and the strib club. Trey McBride.
SPEAKER_04Him and the strib club are gonna be the two. I think that those are the two at the top of the list.
SPEAKER_01You don't have a sleeper on you don't like Jadarian Price?
SPEAKER_04Oh, I love Jadarian Price. Plus 650. I've been trying to trade for him.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna draft him before I made the decision to move up for Carnell.
SPEAKER_04So I wasn't a big fan of him. His his production profile out of college wasn't great, but part of that's because he was playing behind Jeremiah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So like you gotta take that into account. But like if you looked at like its pass catching metrics and just like he caught like five passes.
SPEAKER_01It's not the role that he's designed to play.
SPEAKER_04And yeah, but it's just like you want to see like if he's gonna be a three-down back in the NFL, like it's gotta be something he can do.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but that is an offense that likes to run the ball.
SPEAKER_04They're over here on hard knocks talking about brush pass catching abilities is his best ability. Like, and he looks the part. Like he looks the part.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And and if that's true, then I'm gonna feel dumb for not drafting him.
SPEAKER_04He definitely looks the part.
SPEAKER_01I don't know how much you've seen of him or not, but he I haven't I don't keep up with like I follow like what's going on, but I'm not like, I don't know, man. It's just hard for me to put the stock and all this other kind of shit because it's like one, you're only putting out the hot shit, you know? Yeah. Training camp, you don't you're not gonna see a team putting out the lowlights from practice.
SPEAKER_04Right. And unless you're the Eagles. Remember they do you not remember a couple weeks ago they had that video of Jalen Hurts throwing that pick to Quinya Mitchell?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Everybody was grilling the Eagles social media team.
SPEAKER_01No, speaking of which, that reminds me, I don't know if I said this recently or not, but I saw a video that the Eagles had put out. We've talked about, you know, sometimes how did you why did you throw that ball? How did you not see this? Yada yada yada. The Eagles released a video of like a POV of like Jalen Hurts from camp, like throwing a ball.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01Bro, everything that I've ever said about like anything, like how could you not see that, yada yada yada? I believe it. Like on that camera, you literally like he threw the ball and you literally couldn't even see the receiver.
SPEAKER_04Did he was it a complete? It was a dot. It was a dot.
SPEAKER_01It was a dot. Like, bro, like you look and you see him. He you can you literally can't can't even really see like the hole in the like the space. It was Kevin Patulo. It's just nah, it's just, I mean, that's every quarterback. Imagine how hard it is for Tyler Murray.
SPEAKER_04It's not, man. Real shit.
SPEAKER_01Like, how does he see it? How does he see it at all? He's my height though. He's just taking guesses. But no, like, seriously, bro. Like, you just see it like it's just like a wide open, like you just see like a space, like just a barely over like the offensive lineman. And then you see him throw the ball, and then all of a sudden you just see the receiver like pop in at the end and just snag. And you're like, damn, I couldn't do that. Like when they say, like when they ask NFL players like how many average people can complete a pass in the end against NFL players, I'm gonna say nobody. Yeah, the answer's zero. There's zero percent chance I'm completing the players.
SPEAKER_04It's the same thing that they say, like, if you know, if we gave you a million dollars, but we gave you 10 carries to get five yards.
SPEAKER_00I'm getting five.
SPEAKER_04You're not.
SPEAKER_01I'm getting I feel like that's easier than completing a pass.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, is it easier than completing a pass? Sure.
SPEAKER_01It could be a good offensive line that can open up some space.
SPEAKER_04Buddy, you're not getting five yards.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_04You're you're not. You're gonna die. The first play. Fred Warner's gonna be right there in the egg. Boom!
SPEAKER_01The rule is they don't get to smack me. Like they when they tackle me, they just over. No, they just get if they grab me. Yeah, they're gonna get it. Yeah, because I'm physically if I don't get five yards before I get smacked, yeah. I'm not gonna get five yards. But if you're telling me I'm getting 10 carries to get five yards behind a good offensive line, but you have to get smacked.
SPEAKER_04There's no not getting smacked.
SPEAKER_00Why? Why not?
SPEAKER_04Bro, it's for a million dollars.
SPEAKER_00I'm a fucking I'm I'm like 150 pounds, soaking wet.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you wouldn't. That's what I mean. You wouldn't get the five yards.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't get a carry. I'd be like, I'm good, bro. I'm like, can I catch a pass? Like, why?
SPEAKER_04You're still not getting five yards.
SPEAKER_01Bro, I'd rather take my chances catching Joe Milton, throw me the hardest he possibly can.
SPEAKER_04Like, do you understand how fast Vita Vea is? And he's 300 plus pounds.
SPEAKER_01That's okay. If you put me behind of all time, I don't care. It doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and if you get to go against it.
SPEAKER_01Opening up the space. All I gotta do is make it through the hole twice.
SPEAKER_04Fine, you get the best offensive line, but you also gotta go against the greatest defensive line ever assembled. So you got like Lawrence Taylor.
SPEAKER_01You're telling me that I've got like I'm a like I've got an immovable force or what, you know, whatever. Um unmovable object, whatever. You know what I'm trying to say. That shit. Yeah, that's I can't win. But if you're giving me if you're giving me uh the best offensive line in the NFL versus the worst defensive line in the NFL for a million dollars, I take my chances trying to get 10 instead of five.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_01You put me behind Panesewell, you put me behind Panesewell, I'm getting five yards.
SPEAKER_04Easily. That's like saying that you could hit Paul Skeens.
SPEAKER_01I probably could. Paul Skees been fucking trash this year.
SPEAKER_04He could be he could be fresh off Tommy John surgery and you wouldn't hit the ball. Okay.
SPEAKER_01He could be pitching from his knee.
SPEAKER_04He could be throwing underhand. I'm not going for that.
SPEAKER_01I'm not going for that.
SPEAKER_04You should.
SPEAKER_01But bro, if you're telling you're telling me I couldn't get five yards running behind Panesu.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01It's over because he's gonna pancake the first dude. He's gonna be at the second level by the time I get the ball.
SPEAKER_04I don't care. I do not get that.
SPEAKER_01All I needed him is to not get up. Okay, he's gonna get to the second level.
SPEAKER_04What about the safety that's gonna be crashing down?
SPEAKER_01I got time, bro. By the time he gets there, I got like two seconds, bro.
SPEAKER_04What do you think your 40 is? Tell me what you think your 40 is. Probably like probably like a 4-8. You're dead. You're dead.
SPEAKER_01You're dead. I'm also not running a 4-8. I'm probably running like a 5-5. We're really dead.
SPEAKER_04You're not even out of the backfield yet.
SPEAKER_01Bro, but I have a defender on his back and Panay Sewell blocking the at the second level.
SPEAKER_04I actually don't think you believe this.
SPEAKER_01No, I seriously, if you're giving me 10 opportunities to go five yards behind Panasoule or Elaine Johnson or a fucking Trent Williams or Quentin Nelson.
SPEAKER_04You're lucky I'm not like a billionaire. Because we'd put this to the test.
SPEAKER_01If someone here has the money.
SPEAKER_04Do you remember the show Pros versus Joe's?
SPEAKER_01That would be me. Yeah. Except I would get five yards. No, you wouldn't. Yes, I would. And I could bunt against Poskeines.
SPEAKER_04What an elite, what an elite show, by the way. They should bring that back.
SPEAKER_01They absolutely should. And they should give me a chance. Allow me to be the first one. I would, dude. I would sign you at the end. And then I would also want to see, I would look for another million, and I know I'll lose this one. I'll do the Oklahoma drill against Aaron Donald. You would die. I'll do it against Brian Dawkins. You would come back to the show.
SPEAKER_04I would do it against Ray Lewis. Yeah, like 60-year-old Ray Lewis would murder you. His bones are just harder.
SPEAKER_01That's fine.
SPEAKER_04Come out mangled.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, look, I would do that for a million dollars. I would I would also get five yards. The determination that I would have to get this five yards would just be there'd be no way I don't get it. And I feel like on the 10th rep they'd finally like fit make me feel like the make-a-wish kid.
SPEAKER_04He needs this million dollars.
SPEAKER_01Like, yeah, they're gonna be like, we're gonna give it to him, and I'm gonna like, you know.
SPEAKER_04Be limping. You'll be limping.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they'll do it all cinematic.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you'll be like a real make-a-wish kid. They put it in slow-mo. You'll look fucked up.
SPEAKER_03That's fucked up.
SPEAKER_04Let me ask you a question.
SPEAKER_03Alright.
SPEAKER_04So Super Bowl MVP and Super Bowl winner odds. So you got the Rams and Matthew Stafford at 2,800 plus 2,800. Buffalo Josh Allen at plus 3,000. The Ravens and Lamar at plus 3,500. And then coming in tied for fourth with what four other people is the Chargers and Justin Herbert.
SPEAKER_01That's kind of surprising. At plus 5,000. I would feel like I'm my thing is I just here's the thing. I mean, no, no Sam Darnold. Ooh, that's a good question. Sam Darnold.
SPEAKER_04Where is Samuel Darnold?
SPEAKER_01I mean, we still like the Seahawks roster.
SPEAKER_04Their defense should still be pretty good. Let's see.
SPEAKER_01Brother I. It just feels like it's one of those things where like Josh, the Bills are the high are like high like that because it's like you can see them making the playoffs, and if they do, there's no way it's not Josh Allen.
SPEAKER_04Maybe I'm tripping, but I don't see them on this list.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy.
SPEAKER_04Oh, here we go. Plus 10,000.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I don't think they're going back to back.
SPEAKER_04You know who listen to this. This is who's ahead of Sam Darnold and the Seahawks. You have tied with him as the Commanders, Jaden Daniels, Jacksonville, Trevor Lawrence. Ahead at plus 7,000 is the Bears, Caleb Williams, Packers, Jordan Love, Dallas Dak, Patriots, Drake. And then you got Cincinnati, Joe Burrow, Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes. And then the other four that I named at the beginning. That's that's interesting. It is interesting. Considering that they definitely don't see them going back to back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Which is which is fair.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't see them going back to back either. I don't mind the I don't mind.
SPEAKER_01I would probably honestly take a flyer on Sam Donald at plus, what do you say, plus 10,000? I would take a flyer on the Daniel.
SPEAKER_04There's a couple of flyers that I'm I'm gonna take. I'm with put a little dust on the Ravens, put a little dust on the Bills, put a little dust on the Chargers, and I'll put a little dust on the Bengals.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, with at all of those odds, I mean, surely to God, I mean, one of those teams win the Super Bowl, the likelihood of your bet hitting is astronomical. Right. As well give yourself like six different options. Right. Pick six teams you feel like can win the Super Bowl and take their quarterback.
SPEAKER_04That's a smart strategy. You know what the thing that I'm most excited about for week one? Just having some hope. TD parlays. Oh.
SPEAKER_01Do you have anything you've been thinking of?
SPEAKER_04Well, so look, I'm I'm probably not gonna touch that Australia game.
SPEAKER_01I'm not either. I probably won't touch anything until the Sunday.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. The Sunday slate. I and then you know, week one's a crapshoot, so like I'm in on Garrett Wilson. I'm definitely gonna take a Garrett Wilson TV week one. I'm gonna take a Devon Achan touchdown. Because I'm one, I think there's gonna probably be pretty good. Give me some opportunities. Yeah. I mean, even if he gets 30 opportunities a game. That's a lot of games.
SPEAKER_01Do they have oh, they don't have the props yet, obviously.
SPEAKER_04But yeah, like those are a couple guys that I'm I would say Puka, but like I'm not touching that game in Australia.
SPEAKER_01I like Jameer Gibbs against the Saints.
SPEAKER_04Jameer Gibbs. I'd probably touch a Chris Olave touchdown in that game.
SPEAKER_01Ashton, if Ashton Genty plays who they play? Uh the Dolphins.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I also like an Omari and Hampton anytime touchdown.
SPEAKER_04I read a tweet today that said don't overthink it. Amari and Hampton's the guy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, that's uh I said that when Mike McDaniel was just talking his shit. He talking about motherfuckers telling me Keaton Mitchell's gonna take from him. Yeah, alright.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like he legitimately might get eight carries a game. He'll take from him. It won't be much. Nothing meaningful. Right. I mean, everybody needs a break.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_04You can't play him 100% of the snaps, he'll die. Devon A chance gonna have to. No, he's not. They just traded for Charquest Hunter.
SPEAKER_01He's getting 40 to 45.
SPEAKER_04They got Ollie Gordon. Looking at these games, man, I'm pretty excited to see you got the Wednesday, the September 9th game, the rematch of the Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_01You get Packers, Vikings, week one. I like that. You got a few divisional games. Getting the Commanders and Eagles, that should be a good game.
SPEAKER_04The Sunday slate for that, because I mean, we'll talk, you know, we'll talk more about the Rams and 49ers, the Patriots, Seahawks when that comes. But, you know, you got there's some great games, week one. Lions Saints is gonna be a good game. The Bengals Bucks should be a good game.
SPEAKER_01I'll tell you what, I've got a couple of games Sunday that I love already. Bears minus 156 against the Panthers on the road. I'm I'm taking the minus 156.
SPEAKER_04Bro, you might get off FanDuel, but what are you having on DraftKings? One minus 142.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. We're going to DraftKings.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I'm an invested. Jesus, bro. I'm invested in the DraftKings.
SPEAKER_01Wow.
SPEAKER_04I'm an owner. I'm a part owner. I don't see any dividends out of it, but.
SPEAKER_01Hey, that's fine. It ain't that big yet. Ain't big enough to do dividends. They're too busy paying us. We're about to smack their ass. I'm taking the Bears. I'm taking the Bears. There are some great guys. Obviously, I'm going to throw a filler in there like the Jags over the Browns. I don't love it. I just.
SPEAKER_04Like I'm not, like, I would pick the Jags too.
SPEAKER_01You're not going to put it on your slit. I'm taking the Lions, obviously, over the Saints. I'll probably just like for a parlay, I'm just going to throw the money line on there. But as a straight better, if that line gets down to six and a half, I would take Detroit minus six and a half instead of seven. Yeah, I would do that. I would take the six. Titans minus two and a half.
SPEAKER_04I'm taking that. Oh, it's two and a half on there. It's minus three on DraftKings.
SPEAKER_01What else do I like? Ah, ooh, this is gonna be a sweaty game. This might actually, this is your game. This is your we get the we get the We're Not Experts Bowl day one. All right. We get a little Zay Flowers versus Alec Pierce action week one.
SPEAKER_04They're both banged up. That's just funny. Neither one of them plays.
SPEAKER_01That'd be fine. I would probably take Baltimore that game.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. That line's a lot closer than I thought. It's week one though.
SPEAKER_01I've got a look. I was looking, I was digging into the files, looking at the the specials that they had for the NFL, and one of them caught my eye. You could like pick teams that have more wins than other teams. I just found a simple two-leg, some great value, just two legs plus a hundred. Alright. The Tennessee Titans that have more wins than the Arizona Cardinals and the Vibe Dolphins.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01How do you like that?
SPEAKER_04I love that.
SPEAKER_01That's a real bet.
SPEAKER_04That's what are the odds on it?
SPEAKER_01Like plus a hundred. I got like a 50% boost. Like I really I can't use wouldn't be able to use the boost, but bro, part of me wants to take like a grand and put it on that.
SPEAKER_04I think that's a you know, it's as safe as it could possibly be.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't see I don't see the Cardinals or the Dolphins winning more than three games. I mean week one's gonna be electric. There's some good. I'm just so glad football's back, man. We're so close.
SPEAKER_04Like we're getting we're we're so close to just being able to just it won't be next week that we lock in our picks, but the week after when we're approaching, like we'll record on a Tuesday and then it'll be released on a Wednesday. The day of NFL season. You will you will get some of our picks.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you'll get all we've already given away some. Things have changed, injuries have happened, trades have been made.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Caleb's gone gay.
SPEAKER_04He's besty.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you know, there's just things have happened.
SPEAKER_04So we're gonna have to lock in our official picks. There is some uh TDs. What where are we at on time?
SPEAKER_01Uh we got enough time to hit some.
SPEAKER_04Uh let's see. You got JSN. I'm against the Patriots. I don't like it. Plus 105. I don't like it. You don't think Christian Gonzalez might not play? I don't like it. I mean, if he doesn't play, I like it. Let's see. Then the Thursday game, you got Christian McCaffrey at a minus 150.
SPEAKER_01I like it.
SPEAKER_04That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Look, the Christian McCaffrey anytime touchdown at one point in time was the best bet in sports. It was a lock. The lock of locks.
SPEAKER_04Like it was a true lock. When people say that.
SPEAKER_01We'll get more into those in another ex uh another episode.
SPEAKER_04Jameer Gibbs, check us out. Jameer Gibbs discord touchdown against the Saints is minus 265. Of course. So for those who those who don't know, you would have to bet $265 to win $100.
SPEAKER_01I like the value. That's crazy. Bro, it seems free.
SPEAKER_04Kind of. Chris Olave in that same game's plus $170. I think there's your value.
SPEAKER_01I like the three hundred bucks at $260.
SPEAKER_04There's your value.
SPEAKER_01A Carnell Tate.
SPEAKER_04Like a like would you could I interest you into like a Tony Pollard? Like a Chris Godwin. Anytime TD against the Bengals? Oh yes. At plus 225? Or plus 255?
SPEAKER_01Plus 255?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I feel like it's what is Bucky Irving.
SPEAKER_04Plus 110. I like that. Yeah, it's plus money. I think it'll happen. I mean, I like that the Bengals probably upgraded their defense, but it's not going to be great. It's not going to be great. We're going to look at the uh Titans real quick.
SPEAKER_01See who the uh I don't think they have any for that on mine. On FanDuel.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, they do. Uh see. Who do you think the highest odds to score a touchdown in the game between both teams? It's Brees Hall. Smart. Plus 115. Doesn't seem like DraftKings expects a lot of scoring in this game because there's zero.
SPEAKER_01Well, or I mean, look at who, I mean, look at who in there. Like, who do you expect to score a touchdown in that game? Garrett Wilson? Yeah. I do. Yeah. I do.
SPEAKER_04Brees Hall with the way our defense looked against the twos. It looks like he's going to probably break one off for 70. Taking Carnell Tate. And you could get Carnell Tate right now for nothing because he's not on the list. Alright.
SPEAKER_01Well, when it gets closer to time, I'm taking Carnell Tate. Garrett Wilson is plus. The Tennessee Titans, Carnell Tate is going to be the offensive rookie of the year. That did not change. I don't care that he went over and zero catches five targets. He's the man, that's my guy, and you can't tell me otherwise. Doesn't matter. And that's all I have to say about that. Man. You got anything else? That's actually all I have to say, period, today, brother. That's it. As always, gang. We appreciate you taking time out of your day to come kick it with us. Football's almost here.
SPEAKER_04We back next Wednesday. Next Wednesday, Friday.
SPEAKER_01Two times a week. Yep, two times a week. We're gonna have to have more sports to talk about. Or more football. Things are actually gonna be happening.
SPEAKER_04College football starts tonight.
SPEAKER_01Can't wait. Lock it in now. Whatever the spread is currently, take TCU over North Carolina.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, whatever. You could do that. That's fine. I don't believe in Bill Belichick, anyways. They're saying he's he's about to get fired. I like, subscribe, follow.
SPEAKER_01Tell a friend.
SPEAKER_04Tell a friend. Yeah. All of our social medias are we're not experts except Twitter.
SPEAKER_01We not experts.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, find us at we not experts on there. Man. Tell it, you know, tell somebody about us. Help us grow.
SPEAKER_01Drop us some fan mail. Talk to us in the comment section. Help us grow our channel. Man, that is it. As always, we appreciate it. We'll see y'all on the next one.
