We're Not Experts
We’re Not Experts is a podcast hosted by two guys who’ve somehow survived 15+ years of friendship and now think that qualifies them to talk into microphones. We’re average early 30’s dudes with very strong opinions and very average credentials—which is exactly the point.
We’re sports ethicists in the loosest sense of the term, breaking down the morals, madness, and mayhem of a wide variety of sports… but let’s be honest: football will absolutely hijack the conversation. We can talk about other sports. We just won’t stop talking about football.
Expect passionate debates, hot takes that cool off immediately, arguments that go nowhere, and the occasional moment of clarity that surprises everyone—including them. Stats may appear. Logic might leave the room. Confidence will always be high.
We’re not analysts. We’re not insiders. We’re definitely not experts.
We’re just two longtime friends talking sports the way most people do—too confidently, for too long, and with absolutely no credentials to back it up.
We’re Not Experts — and neither are you, so you’ll fit right in.

AJ Brown traded. Myles Garrett traded. We breakdown the fallout, and implications, and all the offseason chaos that comes with blockbuster moves.
Welcome back to We're Not Experts. We're back in the cave for episode 24. Kobe.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Kobe. And we could have done eight, but that's weak.
SPEAKER_02We like two four Kobe.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, facts.
SPEAKER_02That was after he had the heinous allegations.
SPEAKER_01The dirt man Kobe was hey.
SPEAKER_02Fro Kobe was on demon time.
SPEAKER_01Mike Vrabel's kind of Kobe.
SPEAKER_02You know, I also look, man, there's a lot of 24s that I fuck with. You know, like driving fast. Always was a big Jeff Gordon guy.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_02You know? Sometimes I'll be swinging the wood, be feeling like Mickey.
SPEAKER_03You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02There's a whole lot of 2-4s out here in this world that I like.
SPEAKER_01I uh you got a couple big pieces of news today, huh?
SPEAKER_02Slightly. I mean, one of them's like been like a story that, you know, we've touched on like 15 out of the 24 episodes now, but like now that there's some news official, AJ Brown traded to the Patriots. I believe it was for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027, was it a fourth? I wouldn't the fifth. I wouldn't call that a King's ransom. I mean, if you I mean they got about as much as what they gave up for them. I mean, maybe it's crazy that they traded a was it a first round pick and a fourth for AJ Brown from the Titans. And then what, three, four years later, you get it back, you get them older and get like the almost the exact same return back?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Howie's a dog. And he had a down year with a bunch of drama.
SPEAKER_02I will say it's kind of smart from a perspective of like the Patriots not having to come up off the 2027 first.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'll blame him.
SPEAKER_02You kick it down the road for a year, so like you still get to add. I mean, how do you feel about this trade? Now that like the details.
SPEAKER_01It's probably best for both sides. I think both trades today worked out for both teams.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01I think it made sense for everybody. Focusing on this one specifically, like it makes sense, like it makes sense that the path, even if it was the 2027 first, like there's a decent chance that it's not going to be a high first round pick.
SPEAKER_02You know, they said Mike Rabel was really spearheading the hey, let's give up a first-round pick for AJ Brown. I mean, like they like I don't think I read a report that there was like some hesitancy from the Patriots to give up a first-round pick for AJ Brown. Like they didn't want to, like, I don't think the front office wanted to give up a first-round pick for AJ Brown.
SPEAKER_01I don't blame them for that either.
SPEAKER_02And apparently, like Mike Vabel was like pounding the table for it.
SPEAKER_01He pounds the table for a lot of things.
SPEAKER_03I need Diana back.
SPEAKER_01I mean, look, I don't I think AJ Brown realistically probably has two, maybe three good years left for you.
SPEAKER_02Is that worth a first round pick?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, probably for sure. If you're trying to win now, I mean, look, if you look what Stefan Diggs did in that offense.
SPEAKER_02So you expect AJ Brown to do a lot better than that. Absolutely. He's way better. What do you think this does for the team, though? Like, what are your expectations of the Patriots now that you officially add AJ Brown?
SPEAKER_01But you get a true, you get a true one. Right. You get a true D.
SPEAKER_02There's somebody that can handle it.
SPEAKER_01Stephon, Stefan Diggs, Stefan Diggs is a crash out and all.
SPEAKER_02Right. And but AJ Brown has any of those problems in New England.
SPEAKER_01AJ, this is true. He never had these problems. He also never had these problems in Tennessee.
SPEAKER_02Until it was time to get paid.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_02Then he said, fuck Tennessee. I want to go play with Jalen Hurts.
SPEAKER_01You think you think Mike Vrabel told him? He was like, he was like, I mean, dude, hold out. You're good enough.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I mean, I don't know. I don't know. I do remember how pissed off I remember seeing Mike Vrabel draft night when they traded AJ Brown.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That was the means to an end right there.
SPEAKER_02But I don't I don't know. So like where do you put the Patriots now in the AFC? Like, do you feel better about them now? Like, do you think that they've got potential to like go back to the Super Bowl and maybe win it this year?
SPEAKER_01I don't think they're going back.
SPEAKER_02Do you think they should be like a favorite at least in their division? Like, would you put them over Buffalo?
SPEAKER_01I still don't know. Oof. I don't know if I'm putting them over Buffalo.
SPEAKER_02He believes in Mr. Wu.
SPEAKER_01Josh Allen's the man.
SPEAKER_02Joshua. Mr. Wu.
SPEAKER_01He's the man.
SPEAKER_02He is the man. I mean, Drake May might be that guy too, though.
SPEAKER_01Drake May might also be the man.
SPEAKER_02We'll see if he takes that next step. Like, my thing is, is like as good of a year as Drake May had, how much better do you see Drake May but like getting this year with AJ Brown?
SPEAKER_01What was his stylon?
SPEAKER_02I mean, he had he was like MVP runner-up, so he went the fuck off, clearly.
SPEAKER_01That's true. Like, I just think my thing with the Patriots. If he's the guy, he can replicate it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I don't think, you know, and I don't know how you feel about it, but like watching the playoffs, or especially in the playoffs, I don't over the course of the season, I don't I didn't think I sat there and watched New England and was like, oh man, like they if they have AJ Brown, they're winning a Super Bowl. Like I don't think that he's the difference in them. Like, I don't think AJ Brown makes them that much better of a team because their offensive line, I don't know how good it's going to be this year still.
SPEAKER_01I would die for him.
SPEAKER_02You know what I'm saying? And came out and well, he died, alright, but he didn't do it exactly. He ain't put up much of a fight.
SPEAKER_01Remember the interview he said, he said, I mean, you give up, you give up a sack of game, you're gonna be working on Amazon.
SPEAKER_02Well, buddy, I hope he's been filling out apps.
SPEAKER_01They they do all the AI photos of Will Campbell in an Amazon uniform.
SPEAKER_02But I mean, like, I I don't know. I'm like, like, obviously, I feel like I I feel like from a fantasy perspective, AJ Brown's back.
SPEAKER_01Thinking, like, from a fanny not even fantasy perspective. It it's really just me thinking about what Drake May's stat line's gonna be. If I had to project it out just off the top of my head. Like adding AJ Brown. Like, I think he's like a significant upgrade from Stefan Diggs. Diggs was pretty good. I mean, he had a thousand. What do you have five, six touchdowns, seven touchdowns?
SPEAKER_02I'm not exactly sure how many that he had.
SPEAKER_01What did Drake May have? He probably had 4K. I think he probably hits 4K again if he didn't.
SPEAKER_02Like I could Yeah, he had 43 basically 4,400 yards, 31 touchdowns, eight picks, 113.5 quarterback right now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I probably I'm not going 3,400 yards. I would probably go 32.
SPEAKER_02You mean 42?
SPEAKER_01He had 42. 42, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Did I say 32?
SPEAKER_01No, it might have been me that fucked that up. It might have been me that fucked it up.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, see, and that's where my problem with the deal is. Like if Drake May's doing this with Stefan Diggs and target share.
SPEAKER_01Like, you're not gonna, I don't think you'll see like a Hunter Henry eating as much. Like you got a couple games where he went crazy. But does that make your team better? I mean, maybe.
SPEAKER_02I mean, and I mean, I feel like it's gonna make it easier on everybody else.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, for sure. I I think for more than anyone, like Trayvon Henderson, hell, even Ramondre, as much as I hate to say that.
SPEAKER_02Well, Hunter Henry should have some more. I mean, it definitely makes the run game better.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, oh, I think that's where it improves it the most. But and it was already a pretty good run game.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I mean Hunter's I'm hoping that Treyvon Henderson takes over like the like is more involved.
SPEAKER_01Even if it was a even if it was a 1A, 1B situation, like it Ramondre's not a bad running back.
SPEAKER_02I just don't know how much that I don't I don't just don't know how much I see AJ Brown raising the ceiling of of that team. It'd be different if AJ Brown was going to a team that had no wide receiver. Like, it'd be different. I would feel totally different about AJ Brown going to a different team if it was for say he was walking into like the Titans wide receiver room from last year. Right. Versus I mean the Patriots wide receiver.
SPEAKER_01Like he's like their wide receiver course pretty nice.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean their offense is gonna look better. I just don't I just don't see it statistically speaking, I don't see it being much better than what it was.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Well, no, I mean and with that, that means in my head, if I don't see the production being much different, I don't see the Patriots going back to the Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_01I bet like if I like if Drake May throws for 4,200 yards, I bet AJ Brown has twelve hundred of those.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I mean at that point, oh cool. Ten touchdowns.
SPEAKER_01Like he could he could easily go he could easily go twelve hundred.
SPEAKER_02It's just so hard for me to I just can't see the value in it. Like, I mean I can see the value in it, but I don't I don't see it raising their ceiling much, if any.
SPEAKER_01I don't like the Patriots to repeat regard like I don't expect them to go back to the Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_02I don't either.
SPEAKER_01Like I didn't I don't it just really it just depends if Drake May is really the guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean that that ultimately that's always what it's gonna be dependent on. But at some point he's gotta just now the problem is for Drake May is I feel like it almost hurts his development as a quarterback because you're bringing in the personality that AJ Brown is, so like you clearly you see that you have to feed him. Right? So like you got a guy that you have to feed to keep him happy.
SPEAKER_01But he's a guy that's worth feeding.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I'm not saying that he's not, but I'm saying that like from a quarterback perspective.
SPEAKER_01Like you're just like making it feels like you're making the argument that you should never bring in a true one.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I'm not saying that. I'm saying I'm I mean, I've said consistently that bringing in an AJ Brown isn't what makes you a Super Bowl contender.
SPEAKER_01Well, he's got one.
SPEAKER_02I mean, the thing that I mean, yeah, but is they didn't get that until they added somebody after AJ Brown. And they also had the best defense in the league that year when they won the Super Bowl too. They did. So can we attribute that to AJ Brown?
SPEAKER_01Hey, the Patriots defense should be a good one.
SPEAKER_02I mean, they went they went to the Super Bowl with AJ Brown his first year there. They didn't win.
SPEAKER_01Man.
SPEAKER_02It seems like, oh, we need something else. We need a better run game, we need a better defense. We didn't necessarily need AJ Brown.
SPEAKER_01Are you saying AJ Brown doesn't make it?
SPEAKER_02I'm saying that I've been consistent in my take that like getting a superstar wide receiver is not the difference between your team winning a Super Bowl and not winning a Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_01Man, it's a good run game.
SPEAKER_02Defense, quarterback play. Which, I mean, and don't get me wrong, Drake May, elite. We'll see. We'll see how it plays out.
SPEAKER_01I mean, he wasn't very elite in the Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_02I mean, there was he had that one, he he went off in the Super Bowl at the end.
SPEAKER_01He wasn't even very elite in the Broncos game. Like he was pretty bad.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but but I mean, you know, you're talking about a second-year quarterback.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'm not putting I'm not holding it against him. I think it's an upgrade.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, it's an upgrade. I just I don't know.
SPEAKER_01If I'm the Patriots and you feel like this is what it's gonna take for you to win now, yeah, you're gonna make the move.
SPEAKER_02We saw a team go trade somebody that can, I feel, be the difference in your team not winning the Super Bowl and winning the Super Bowl. Less need, F them picks, yet again. Exactly. I think we now can even, I mean, I feel like we already agreed that. I mean, we know who's not a contender this year in the AFC. The Browns.
SPEAKER_03Cleveland Browns.
SPEAKER_02I will say about this trade, uh, you know, Miles Garrett for Jared Verse. Jared Verse, a first round pick, a second round pick, and a third round pick.
SPEAKER_01A king's ransom.
SPEAKER_02This would be That is a steep cost.
SPEAKER_01It would be considered a King's ransom from where I'm from.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely. I feel like, especially for a non-this may be like the biggest, like from a value of what you're giving up for one particular player, this might be like the one of the bigger draft hauls that I can recall. Back to what I said. Especially non-quarterback for sure. But I mean, even I mean, you we were talking about this earlier before we we got up here. Like, what would the trade value of Jared Verse standalone have been? If if the Rams said we're trading Jared Verse. It's absolutely two years. At least a first. Well, I mean, I feel like it's at least two firsts. It very well could be. I mean, you're talking about someone who's been a pro bowler his first two years, defensive rookie of the year. You know, he's got like eight less years on it, eight less years worth of miles on his body, still on his body and got two more years and and that fifth year option under his belt. It's one of those situations where I feel like both teams win.
SPEAKER_01Both teams win, man. It makes sense for both teams.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I would have liked from Graham's perspective, I would have tried to find a way to like, hey, what can we do to pair Miles Garrett on one side with Jared Verse on the other side?
SPEAKER_01Bro, you still got Braden Fisk. You got dude, they are their defensive line, Byron Young, they're still sick.
SPEAKER_02They are sick. I mean, they probably have they've got the best roster on the show.
SPEAKER_01Just just say that Miles Garrett has 21 sacks again, buddy. They might be undefeated.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, obviously, I'm not gonna go that far with it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I'm not saying they will. I'm just saying, like, if he was to have that type of game wrecking season on an actual good football team, like Puka might be dead, like they might not ever be throwing the ball.
SPEAKER_02Put that defense, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like it could just it could be a Kyron Williams, Blake Coram show. The Rams' offense could become just lethargic and hard to watch just because they defense. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02Defense should be great. And and you know, look, everybody talked about the Ty Simpson draft, and it's just like, oh my gosh, you could have just waited and got something to help them this year. Don't need it. He had a plan.
SPEAKER_01He had a plan the whole time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's it's kind of what it feels like.
SPEAKER_01It's like Well, no, did you see? I mean, they've been talking. Apparently, they've been in trade talks for a while. Uh, did you see what Andrew Berry said? He actually he made he made a pretty good quote or a comment about the whole thing.
SPEAKER_02I didn't hear it. What'd he say?
SPEAKER_01He was just saying that, you know, it's something it's it's crazy to trade somebody that you thought was gonna wear the same helmet his entire career. I get it, he was a cornerstone franchise piece.
SPEAKER_02He also said that he was going from, I believe he said he's going from Cleveland to Canton was the phrase.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Which, you know, unless you're going back to Cleveland sign a one-day contract.
SPEAKER_01I'm so glad they did this. I feel so good for him.
SPEAKER_02For Miles Garrett. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you you want to say somebody like the Browns did the right thing.
SPEAKER_01They're not gonna be good this year.
SPEAKER_02No, for sure. And I mean, here's the thing.
SPEAKER_01And if he goes for 22 sacks because he's the sickest to ever do it, and it's a 22 sacks for four wins on the season, like, come what are we doing?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you're playing for nothing.
SPEAKER_01That's tough, dude.
SPEAKER_02I will say, I feel like this puts a ton of pressure on the Rams now, though.
SPEAKER_01Oh, they're plus 600 to win the Super Bowl now. That's it's insane. I actually think that might be like that might be still good value. Yeah, like that might still be good value. Man, I just like you, I might just go put that in just because like Yeah, I mean, and guess what?
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna die on the hill. Look, I'm not gonna switch my pick. I'm on the record, I've been rolling with the Iceman. Hey, I'm gonna keep rolling with him because I just I don't know why I feel this way so strongly about Caleb Williams, but I I don't I'm just gonna they're gonna find a way.
SPEAKER_01He's got a world.
SPEAKER_02I mean, he's just he's just thrown some of the greatest passes I've ever had.
SPEAKER_01Oh, he had one the other day in OTA, so I was like, alright. I was like, all right, I gotta I gotta slow down. I was like, I can't be watching this stuff thinking he's gonna be doing this every game. Bro, it was a 67-yard pass on the run.
SPEAKER_02Bro, he's just throwing some absolute dots.
SPEAKER_01Bro, it was insane.
SPEAKER_02Fuck OTAs. I'm I'm I ain't I'm looking past all that shit still. I'm never gonna buy into OTAs.
SPEAKER_01It's hard. No, you say that. I watched some can't I watch some Carnell Tate footage. I'm like, I go, all right, slow down, man. I'm getting caught up in the hype.
SPEAKER_02It's easier to say, it's easier to do that with your fan of your team. I was like, man, see, when I when I see such shit like that happening on my unit, I'm like, ah, fuck. Whoever's guarding him is weak as fuck.
SPEAKER_01No, I watched it, I was like, man, Carnell Tate's looking like a 90 catch, 1,300 yards, nine, ten touchdowns kind of guy.
SPEAKER_02You know, he's gonna have a big year, but but so so now that now that Miles Garrett's been traded, let's talk a little bit about the trades and what that like a little bit more in depth on the Cleveland side of it.
SPEAKER_01It's a great trade for the Bryant.
SPEAKER_02It's a great trade for the longevity of the Bradford. Absolutely. I think the thing that I it it sucks because like I have a feeling that Andrew Barry's like setting this team up for so much success and just got fucked so bad at the quarterback's position that he's gonna end up losing his job. Because I mean he's made some pretty great moves for them.
SPEAKER_01I you know what? I agree, but I don't know if they're gonna end up firing him.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I mean you can I mean he's been the GM that gets.
SPEAKER_01Because it's not like it's not like he's drafted bad.
SPEAKER_02No, he hasn't. Like he hasn't drafted the bad. He's gonna end up ha falling on the sword from the owner fucking signing Deshaun Watson to the worst deal in NFL history.
SPEAKER_01That's that is a pretty big mistake.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but but that wasn't that was a that was a owner thing.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's true too. I I just feel like if you're gonna fall on that sword, you should have done it early. Like if you were gonna like fire him because of something like that.
SPEAKER_02They're gonna bring somebody in and just gonna unravel all the good things that they do. Cleveland's got a lot of draft at Capitol now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and they have a guy that's been fairly successful in the draft. I would uh I don't know.
SPEAKER_02It'd be interesting to see what they do. I love for Cleveland. I mean, like, you know, let's just say this is definitely better with them getting Jared Verse back as well as just picks. And who's to say, I mean, I now don't hear what I'm not saying when I say this. But like realistically, let's just say Jared Verse becomes a 15-year sack a year guy.
SPEAKER_01It's uh it's an incredible trade.
SPEAKER_02Miles Garrett's 31 years old, like you you got a bunch back, and not only that, you don't get it all at once. Like you get a you get you get Jared Verse now, then next year, here you go, you get an extra first, and the year after that, you got an extra second. The year after that, you got an extra third. So you're gonna be able to like stack those onto each other a little bit.
SPEAKER_01It's a great move.
SPEAKER_02It's a great move. You're gonna have yourself some options. Obviously, like long term, I mean, I what do they win? One less game without Miles Garrett now. I mean, you know, when you're in Cleveland, I mean, how many wins does Miles Garrett get attributed to on a team like Cleveland?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, probably like one.
SPEAKER_02You know, the difference in him in a place like Cleveland versus what the impact that I'm expecting him to have on the Rams, like, it's night and day difference.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like I said, dude, it's so good for him. It's good for the Browns. The Browns made the right move.
SPEAKER_02What if Jared vs.
SPEAKER_01And Jared versus an Ohio? He's dude, hey, look, he's an Ohio kid. That's not the place of Ohio you want to go. Yeah, he's from.
SPEAKER_02You're like, if you want to go to Ohio, you're like, give me to Cincy. At least I got Joe Burrow.
SPEAKER_01No, well, I mean, probably. Sometimes I at least have Jamar. There's nowhere in Ohio anybody's asking to go. Just ask Joe Kim Noah.
SPEAKER_03Who the fuck wants to go to Cleveland on vacation?
SPEAKER_01Who wants anywhere? Who would want to go to Cincinnati? Ohio is a state as a whole.
SPEAKER_02Someone very blue collar. They want to go there.
SPEAKER_01Go watch a Reds game. I, you know, shout out to the shout out to the Browns. I think they made a great move. Shout out to the Rams. They'll never have a first-round pick. Don't need it. Don't need it.
SPEAKER_02Look, I would, if you're telling me you got to trade your first round pick most years and you're just going to acquire, like, fuck taking shots on prospects and whatnot. Especially when you're going to get somebody who's clearly the best in their position. You look at their roster, they very well could be like number one offense, number one defense.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02This team's not fair. You're telling me you've got the offensive player of the year, the MVP. Well, you have a potential offensive player of the year in Puka Nakua. Right. You've got a Puka Nakua. On the opposite side of him, you've got a should be probably a maybe a first ballot Hall of Famer in Devontae Adams.
SPEAKER_01And another one throwing in the ball.
SPEAKER_02You've got the reigning. MVP, you look on the other side. Oh, we got our defense that was really good last year. We replaced our best pass rusher with the best pass rusher. Maybe this game's ever seen.
SPEAKER_01We got we went and got a dog as a corner.
SPEAKER_02We went and got an all-pro corner. Not only that, you got another Pro Bowl caliber receiver on or uh corner on the other side and Jalen Watson.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, man. Shout out to Les Knee. It's gonna be hard. I hope Mike.
SPEAKER_02People are gonna be looking at the Rams like they're the Oklahoma City Thunder.
SPEAKER_01Nah.
SPEAKER_02And then Caleb Williams pulls up.
SPEAKER_01I'm Wimby. I don't that was generational hate watching. I don't know. I don't know if I've ever been more excited for a Western Conference finals to get the game.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I'm saying from I'm saying from the thing about, you know, the OKC hate watch when you compare, like people were saying, oh, nobody's ever gonna beat this team.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, maybe, but I'm saying that I like Matthew Stafford way more than I like Shea Gildis Alexander software. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I don't know if I could handle a whole lot of flopping as a quarterback.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like I can't I can't hate him the same.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I've always liked stafford, so it's like I don't know if I'll ever be able to hate him.
SPEAKER_02See, and I'm not like Shay I've gained more respect for Matthew Stafford in the past couple of seasons than I've had like the entire the entirety of his career. Because I gave I gave Stafford a lot of hate for the fact that like everybody, and I'll still say this, I still believe it. If Matthew Stafford was as good as everybody said he was going to be, they would have had more success in Detroit than what they had.
SPEAKER_01You remember you remember when they had Marvin Jones Jr.?
SPEAKER_02He was sick.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. Golden Tate. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Was sick. Like you they should have had if more success than what they had. Were they playing two playoff games?
SPEAKER_01They didn't have Dan Campbell yet. They didn't have a culture changer come in there yet.
SPEAKER_02That is true.
SPEAKER_01They just had a guy.
SPEAKER_02What do you think Dan Campbell would have done with Matthew Stafford his entire time?
SPEAKER_01He'd be a Super Bowl champion.
SPEAKER_02I'm pretty sure he played with him.
SPEAKER_01Did he?
SPEAKER_02Dan Campbell played for the Lions.
SPEAKER_01I know. I'm just saying I didn't I don't know when he played. No way. John Kitten, though. He played with John Kitna. I'm playing. Didn't John Kidna play for the That's a pool. That's a pool. That's an elite pool right here. Joey Harrington. John. That's an elite pool. Shout out. Shout out to the Rams. I wish the Titans could do some shit like that. We should have gone and got Miles Garrett. Would you have traded would you have traded Fimi? Two first and a third.
SPEAKER_02Fuck yeah. Hell yeah. But you're talking about Phil Femi. Yeah, he certainly ain't no Jerry Burns.
SPEAKER_01I said, but I said two first and a third.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, absolutely. Two first and a second?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Three three first.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And Femi.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I probably wouldn't if I'm the Titans, because like, I mean, you're just not there.
SPEAKER_01I mean, if you go and get Miles Garrett, though.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't think Miles Garrett would have taken the Titans to that this is a Super Bowl contending team.
SPEAKER_01Would they have been uh eight-win team? I'm just trying to find out. I'm just trying to find out.
SPEAKER_02Maybe, but I mean I think the Titans are going to be a seven, eight-win team, ten-win team, eight, seven or eight-win team this year.
SPEAKER_01So you think like if you put like a Miles Garrett on a Tennessee Titans, would they be a 10-win team? Like, would he make that big of a difference?
SPEAKER_02I don't think not in Tennessee. Just because we don't like have we don't have the infrastructure in place. Okay. Like I feel like you give up those three first round picks or whatever the cost it is to go get somebody that when you have that infrastructure to win there. Like I'm certainly not saying, okay, our window's going to be opening up because we have what we're expecting to be a franchise quarterback that we've added around to. Like, I'm not trading for Miles Garrett, and I'm saying, okay, I might be an eight-win team, 10-win team, or eight-win team year one with Garrett. Second year, we might have, you know, 10 wins. You know what I'm saying? Like you, you, you go get you a player of that caliber and you give up those kind of assets when you're like on the cusp. Let me ask a question. Like a team like, for example, a team like the Bears. Or a team like, I mean, obviously the Rams. Oh, the Bears would have been a person. I'll even go and say another. A team like the Ravens, a team like the Cowboys. Like those teams that are there. Here's another one. Sleeper. Obviously, I don't think the Browns would have ever done this, but what if they would have traded them to the Bengals?
SPEAKER_01Oh, the Bengals. Yeah, it would have been a great.
SPEAKER_02Or the Ravens. I mean, like, when you're a team that's on the cusp that already has like that kind of ceiling that you're just like, okay, we get a player like that, and he puts us to where that we're the favorite. Like if you're then you give up those kind of actions.
SPEAKER_01Like if you're the Houston Texans, like if you known that like they you could have maybe traded Daniil Hunter and a couple first and a third for Miles Garrett.
SPEAKER_02Even then, I probably wouldn't have done that in Houston situation because you're I don't think Miles Garrett puts them on the cus.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but they're out. Yeah, but that's not the point because they already think they're on the cus.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I don't know why, because their quarterback's fucking CJ Stroud.
SPEAKER_01See, yeah, but they believe that's not the point. They believe in CJ Stroud.
SPEAKER_02I'm not sure they do believe in CJ Stroud.
SPEAKER_01You don't believe in CJ Stroud. I don't believe in CJ Stroud, but they believe. They believe CJ Stroud's the guy. You saw they asked him if he was depressed because he cut his hair.
SPEAKER_02Because he cut his hair. Yeah, that's crazy as fuck.
SPEAKER_01I'm just saying if I was a team like the Texans and you got maybe the second sickest DN in the league, and you're like, and I think my biggest thing for the Texans is it's like the op, it's like, here's the thing.
SPEAKER_02You look at it from that perspective.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but how's the Neil Hunter 28, 29? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but you're gonna turn around, you're gonna pay Miles Garrett $40 million. You're gonna turn around, you just pay Will Anderson Buku money. Now you're gonna have to turn around and pay Stroud Buku money. You pay those three kinds of players, you're not gonna be able to afford to have anything else around.
SPEAKER_01Man, you gotta go to CJ. You gotta go to CJ Stroud because he's depressed. You gotta take a pay cut.
SPEAKER_0225 top.
SPEAKER_01Look, and we'll make it short. We'll give it, we'll make it a one-year, we'll give it, we'll make it a one year with a team option. That way, if we if you're like middling and you're not great, we'll pick up the team option. We'll have another okay year. And if you're you know, if you're like great the first year, we can just re-sign you to a big deal.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah, I'm not gonna do that. Every no nobody in the NFL does that.
SPEAKER_01I know. Because they want the they'd rather get they want to get paid. Yeah, they do. They want the bag.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You'll find somebody, it'll eventually happen. Tom Brady was like that. There'll be another one that comes along.
SPEAKER_02He's already here. He's already here. His name's Pat Rick.
SPEAKER_01Patrick.
SPEAKER_02Pat Rick Mahomes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, torn ACL.
unknownHe's back.
SPEAKER_02He's the type of guy that says, you know what, I'm off of torn ACL. I just tore my ACL. Let's restructure my deal so I can make a little less. Just so I can prove myself.
SPEAKER_01So I can go and get Kenneth Walker.
SPEAKER_02That's what a winner would do.
SPEAKER_01A guy that's never really been the guy. But we're gonna pay him like he's been the guy.
SPEAKER_02Some some people think that Kenneth Walker's about to be like a top five running back this year.
SPEAKER_01Who?
SPEAKER_02Eli.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it's possible. I don't think I'm gonna. That's the ceiling.
SPEAKER_02I don't think it is.
SPEAKER_01That's the ceiling?
SPEAKER_02I don't think it is.
SPEAKER_01But the floor is also like RB20.
SPEAKER_02He's gonna have some real duds.
SPEAKER_01He very well could.
SPEAKER_02And he better hope that Rasheed Rice doesn't try to take him out.
SPEAKER_01What in a car? They don't pick me up from my house.
SPEAKER_02Don't go to ride. Don't go and smoke a blunt with Rasheed Rice.
SPEAKER_01Definitely don't do that. He's already in jail for it. Hey, quick question. If he was to get caught smoking weed again, what would happen?
SPEAKER_02Uh, it'd be another probation violation. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01So he'd just go back to jail.
SPEAKER_02Well, they probably like, you know, at that point they'd be like, all right, we clearly need to like give you your full sentence for what you did.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. Could you imagine?
SPEAKER_02I mean, multiple probations violations has gotta be something serious.
SPEAKER_01Man.
SPEAKER_02It's gotta be. Is that a felony? No, we gotta ask AI. Ask a felon. Ask a felon. When you violated your probation, did you become a felon again?
SPEAKER_03Multiple violations, how does that impact you?
SPEAKER_01We should tweet. We should tweet Rasheed Rice and ask him. He'll see it when he's gonna be able to get it.
SPEAKER_02He'd pull up on us. He'd be up here in about three hours.
SPEAKER_01He would you think he'd shoot us? Nah, he'd probably fucking hit us with his car. Oh my god. That'd be terrible to see. He kind of Henry Ruggs us.
SPEAKER_03That'd be a catch me in traffic.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. I didn't mean that. Henry Ruggs. I didn't mean that. He got denied probation.
SPEAKER_02Or parole?
SPEAKER_01Parole, yeah. Tough.
SPEAKER_02It's kind of sad for him.
SPEAKER_01Oh man.
SPEAKER_02I feel like he's a guy that was actually pretty good. Like he's one of those guys that's probably like he wouldn't do it again. You know? Like, I don't think he would do it again.
SPEAKER_01Hell no. It's over though. His life's over.
SPEAKER_02He wanted to go play football. Man, people were like, yeah, should somebody take a chance on him? He's been staying fit. Yeah, like you stay in prison. You stay in NFL shape in prison. I mean laughs around the yard.
SPEAKER_01The saddest shit was those videos, like when it right after it happened and Nick Saban got asked questions about it. You know, Nick Saban had some wisdom to throw on it.
SPEAKER_02Man, I think that they, I mean, everybody spoke like about his character. They were like so high.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I know. Nick Saban was like, he was always a great kid and blah, blah, blah. But I'm just that was a crazy ass situation.
SPEAKER_02He was fast on the field, he was fast on the road.
SPEAKER_01What is it? Why do people gotta speed?
SPEAKER_03Did he he originally committed to Georgia?
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. You're not gonna know what this is, but I was watching an IndyCar NX NXT the other day, and they have a cat that's from Athens, Georgia.
SPEAKER_02He's he chose the right profession.
SPEAKER_01He went to the University of Georgia. I was like, oh my god, tell me it's not the most fitting. It's not the most fitting thing you've ever heard of.
SPEAKER_00He's already a professional.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he got a test. It was just Georgia was his test. He made it to the professionals now. Man. He went to college for speeding. That's crazy. Well, brother, I think. Is that all you got?
SPEAKER_02That's all I had, man. Just wanted to talk a little. Well, we had our fancy draft.
SPEAKER_01We did. We can hit on that real quick. You made out. You feel like you made out.
SPEAKER_02I feel like I came away way better than what I was expecting to consider. I made a bunch of dirtbag moves just to draft players. Sometimes, look, I'm a man who has a stable full of horses.
SPEAKER_01You got adored by Carnell Tate.
SPEAKER_02I feel like now that I have accumulated a stable of horses, that it's time to start breeding them. Jesus.
SPEAKER_03So so now I'm like what the fuck?
SPEAKER_01Talking about grown men.
SPEAKER_03I'm talking about horses in the stable.
SPEAKER_02Anyways, you know, so I feel like now I need to be, I need to be like a I look at myself as like a, you know, uh, like an owner for like the horses that are in the Kentucky Derby. You know, there's always just like coming up, coming up, coming up. Pause.
SPEAKER_01Jesus.
SPEAKER_03Maybe we should in the fine.
SPEAKER_01But Eddie started to touch.
SPEAKER_02I got infatuated. I got infatuated with Carnell Tate for one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you did.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Trade of the league neighbors, and then turned around and was like, What a great trade.
SPEAKER_01What a great trade. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Bro, there's some animosity in that locker room now. We're gonna have a race war.
SPEAKER_01They're gonna have a race war in there over Jackson Dart. But you see what Marlon Humphrey said? Oh my god. He said, I mean, most of everybody voted for him. I don't know why they act like that. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And then Adul Car is like, I mean, you know, we good. I just want him to know when, like, you know, he he can feel how he feels, but I'm allowed to feel how I feel too.
SPEAKER_01In that linebacker room, I would be very careful how he spoke. He is 100% expendable. Man. Brother, I'm telling you, if if Arvell Reese, if Arvell Reese ended up being sick.
SPEAKER_02The problem with Arvell Reese is that concerns me is he is he gonna be smart enough.
SPEAKER_01Man. That's true. Hell, the only thing he can read is a playbook. They'll simplify it for him. Look, if that's what it takes to like get the best out of him, then so be it. I'm just saying, like, he could 100% be expendable. Man. If he ended up being a partner. I don't like I don't care.
SPEAKER_02Like, I don't care that you spoke your mind or whatever, but I mean, just you gotta understand like who you're like it's to me to say this, but it's what makes it worse is like that shit getting out doing that for the media. Right. Say you said that shit to him in person, that should have been good enough.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like that's supposed to be your boy.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01Like even if you're beefing, like why would you take it to the media?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because that's just gonna make it worse.
SPEAKER_01You know what that is, bro? Real shit. You know what that is? Some hoe shit. That's some ho shit. Man, that is some absolute hoe shit. He I hope he got shamed. I hope they were like, I hope they're like, bro, what the fuck are you doing?
SPEAKER_02Nah, they didn't, bro. Everybody in that locker room was probably like, yeah, Jackson, you can't be walking out with Trump.
SPEAKER_01It's just like it's just crazy to me, because it's like he's the franchise. Like he's literally the franchise.
SPEAKER_02And they're gonna pick, they're like, all right, one of y'all gotta go. We got too much beef. We can't get over that. Who's out of here?
SPEAKER_01Like he's that guy.
SPEAKER_02It's not gonna be Jackson Dark.
SPEAKER_01You gotta hope that he sucks.
SPEAKER_02Man, that's your only chance.
SPEAKER_01That's your only chance. You gotta hope he fucking sucks.
SPEAKER_02Well, oh, you know, now that you done we've talked about the Johns a little bit, I got another little piece of news to end this on. How do you feel about uh Odell Beckham returning to the fuck?
SPEAKER_01Who cares? What the fuck? That's what you wanted to end this on? You could have just ended the pod. That's not even a news about it.
SPEAKER_03No, no, man. People are talking about it.
SPEAKER_01I would have never, I would have, oh dude, I promise you, I would have never brought that up.
SPEAKER_02You don't think Odell plays, right? Like he didn't actually play. Nah, bro.
SPEAKER_01I bet Juju makes the team before he does.
SPEAKER_02Did they sign Juju too?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and Braxtonberry.
SPEAKER_02They signed three receivers today.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, they're going crazy. Hey, bro.
SPEAKER_02Malik Neighbors is he, yeah, he might be. Why is he doing that? Why do we have a dude who's recovering who just had a setback?
SPEAKER_01It's good for his recovery.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I'm sure. I mean, it also is running a risk. I mean, how many times have we played basketball outside in your driveway and you walk out with a with an ankle that's the size of your head?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but that's okay because I get to misswork. He doesn't need to miswork. Yeah. He doesn't need to miswork because he makes millions of dollars.
SPEAKER_02Right. Yeah. It's just signing three of them gives me real concern about neighbors.
SPEAKER_01But I mean, obviously they had no wide receiver, really. It was three bums. Man. Like let's.
SPEAKER_02Braxton Berrios. Odell.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, is Odell's been out of the league for what, two years now?
SPEAKER_01Like there's it's three guys that could very well get cut in three weeks.
SPEAKER_02Facts. They're gonna get a good prognosis on neighbors and be like, all right, y'all are out of here.
SPEAKER_01They probably also, I don't know this, but they probably also brought in a shit ton of undrafted free agent wide receivers.
SPEAKER_02Like why didn't they just draft a receiver?
SPEAKER_01They did. I mean they drafted Malachi Fields.
SPEAKER_02I mean, earlier. Like, why didn't they go get a guy?
SPEAKER_01They think they did. I just told you. They should they could have got a Jordan Tyson. There's there's some hype around they they very well could have. They took Arville Reese, though. Um yeah, I mean they decided that they needed another pass rusher because they knew Abdul Carter was a risk.
SPEAKER_02Bro, wasn't there a story that came off came out last year about Abdul Carter doing some nefarious activity in a meeting?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, he was beaten off.
SPEAKER_03He was watching porn in a meeting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but oh my god, I wish we had the pod then. Oh, that's I do remember that.
SPEAKER_03Hey, we would have had a ball with that.
SPEAKER_01That man was watching porn in a team eating.
SPEAKER_03Man, with a room full of dudes all pissed off.
SPEAKER_01Matter of fact, we can break this down before we hop off here. Because this, to be honest with you, like that's that's really gay as fuck.
SPEAKER_03Nuts.
SPEAKER_01Like, bro, it's suspect as hell.
SPEAKER_03Hey, bro, my man's like, man, don't nothing turn me on more than a fucking turn.
SPEAKER_01And then this is what I need to know is how did you get caught? Did somebody walk up behind you and see it? Did you like forget your volume?
SPEAKER_03He just played and he just he just turned that shit on and the beat through.
SPEAKER_01And then another thing, how did the media find out?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Who went and told the media they're like, damn, bro? Abdul Carter just got caught watching porn in a team meeting. So, like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_02I'm supposed to be taking a taking advice from this guy about fucking speaking your mind about politics.
SPEAKER_01He didn't even speak his mind, he just introduced him. Who gives a fuck? No, I'm talking about Abdul Carter. Yeah, I know, but I'm saying, like, why does he care so much? Because, bro, it's the it's we're in a woke society, bro. Like, Jesus Christ, bro. Like, you're getting paid millions of dollars to get to play the game.
SPEAKER_02We live in a world where how you feel is not nearly as important as how everybody else feels.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's crazy. That's crazy. Yeah, if I was Jackson Dart, I'd have been like, hey, bruh, fuck off. I'm sure he didn't say that because he wants to be a leader, and he shouldn't if he wants to be a leader. I mean, it's not like Abdul Carter wouldn't be a worthy player to have on the roster.
SPEAKER_02I think part of the issue with Jackson Dart coming out and going Trump is some would say that refer to Jackson Dart as someone who wishes he was black.
SPEAKER_01And that's Yeah, but like what if I told you, like, what if what if I told you you got paid $250,000?
SPEAKER_02Look, you pay me $250, I'll go fucking, I'll go introduce fucking Hitler. I don't give a fuck.
SPEAKER_01Hell no. Hell no. Now, I mean, look, I would, I mean, if you we were super famous and everybody hated Trump and I knew it was gonna label our pods sometimes. And they offered me 250 grand, I'm gonna come to you, I'm like, hey bro, would you mind if I wouldn't introduce him for 250K? I know you being my boy.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna tell you go get the money on.
SPEAKER_01You're gonna be like, bro, who gives a we're gonna have 250k? Like, we're straight.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but we're not rich as fuck. If I'm if I'm Jackson Dark got a you know good side, good, nice signing bonus, the future of a franchise probably gonna make 30, 40 million dollars in a couple of years.
SPEAKER_01He's one good year of football away from having a major deal. Yeah, forever. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02For always having a shot.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he'll always, if he's you know, if he flames out after this next year, like if he's great this year and then he's average the rest of the time.
SPEAKER_02We can bring him back. We saw what he could do.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right. Exactly.
SPEAKER_02Like Daniel Jones is still getting it back.
SPEAKER_01Like, hey. People still want Kirk Cousins. Hey. Daniel Jones is out at OTAs, brother.
SPEAKER_02You're telling me Daniel Jones is playing week one again?
SPEAKER_01I'm just letting you know Daniel Jones is at OTAs. Chucking the rock around the he's throwing the yard, he's throwing the pill around the yard.
SPEAKER_02He's not gonna be here, bro.
SPEAKER_01I'm just letting you know.
SPEAKER_02He's not gonna be here.
SPEAKER_01I'm just letting you know. Patrick Mahomes is off the ball.
SPEAKER_03They're gonna bring Daniel Jones out from the Achilles like how Minnesota did with Carson Wentz. Like, we don't want to play. Like, we do not want to play Anthony Richardson.
SPEAKER_01So we need you to play. He looks yoked. You see him. I bet shit. I mean, you know, he's preparing him for tight end.
SPEAKER_02Fullback.
SPEAKER_01Running back.
SPEAKER_02He's too big to be a running back.
SPEAKER_01Running back.
SPEAKER_02What is he like? 6'5, 6'6.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, hell yeah. Running back. It's a mountain of a man. It's gonna be a hard time.
SPEAKER_02He can throw the ball really far.
SPEAKER_01He just the halfback pass is gonna be an incredible.
SPEAKER_02No, it's gonna be it's gonna be worse than it would because Anthony Richardson's not gonna complete it.
SPEAKER_01Nah, dude, his D passes were nice. It was just when he had to throw it under 15 yards. Anything over the middle wasn't an option. He was not a good intermediate.
SPEAKER_02Anthony Richardson's fucking terrible.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, not a fan of it.
SPEAKER_02And now that he's made the pot, I think we've we're at a good stopping point.
SPEAKER_01We could have stopped at Odell Beckham. We could have stopped at Odell Beckham.
SPEAKER_02It was the Eddy.
SPEAKER_01It was the Eddy. That's it. That's episode 24.
SPEAKER_02Shout out Kobe, Jeff Gordon, Miguel Cabrera, all the other dope 24s out there.
SPEAKER_01You named two of the worst 24s I could think of.
SPEAKER_02Bro, you don't fuck with Jeff Gordon?
SPEAKER_01I fucking hate Jeff Gordon.
SPEAKER_02You don't fuck with Mickey?
SPEAKER_01I liked Miguel Cabrera.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you ain't fuck with Jeff Gary.
SPEAKER_01I ain't fuck with Jeff Gordon, though. I was, you know, I'm a Dale guy.
SPEAKER_02Which one?
SPEAKER_01Earnhardt brother. The intimidator. The OG? Yeah, number three. Threes in the sky, brother. He's number three on the track, but number one in your heart.
SPEAKER_02There's a guy I watch on Facebook that always makes jokes about Dale.
SPEAKER_01Dale's the man.
SPEAKER_02Who, me?
SPEAKER_01All right, man. That's it.
SPEAKER_02As always, game. We appreciate you. Like, share, subscribe, holler at your boys, and we'll see y'all on the next one.
SPEAKER_01Man, to 25 we go.
SPEAKER_02To 25 we go.
