SPEAKER_02It's a solid move, especially if in the near future they change it to like the UFL rule where after behind what is it, 60 yards is four points.

SPEAKER_06Well, I would have paid Micah too. I wouldn't pay Micah $47 million coming off an ACL. Just me. That's one of those things that's concerning.
SPEAKER_02What about Will Anderson? Would you pay Will Anderson $50 million a year? Because that's what he got paid. I feel like we feel pretty differently about this. Oh, I love it. I know you love it. I I love it, one, because I called him the best defensive player in Food. You feel validated. I not even I not even that I necessarily believe that, but he's definitely paid like he's the best player on the defensive side of the ball in the NFL.
SPEAKER_06And I think we talked about this a little bit when it first happened. You go around the league and you just say, all right, let's just look at the highest paid in every one of their positions. And outside of maybe two or three, I think we went over, that I looked at that I thought about that may actually be the best at their position.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's just resetting the market.
SPEAKER_06And I think that's the thing that I hate about it is it's just like for me, if I'm on like the owner's side of the table, like granted, I get it. He's younger, he's had two great years, he's trending up, he's a great player. Not saying he's not worth it with the cap. Cap went up and everything like that. My thing is is I just can't go to the negotiating table and pay somebody a significant amount more than the best at their position to do that same thing just because it's time for them to get paid.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but if it was time for Miles Gareth to get paid, he would he would get a similar type bag, if not more.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's that's fine, but I would be like, look, how about we just pay you what he's paid because he's the best?
SPEAKER_02No, because you got to reset the market.
SPEAKER_06I do like it for Will Anderson because, well, I mean, it's essentially a five-year deal, but you know, it's only a three-year extension, so he's gonna be due to get a bigger bag again.

SPEAKER_02Yeah. But I mean, I'm just saying that since the cap went up, like, you know, players like the the running back market's the one that's gonna be the big reset. Because when Do you think they go up? Oh, Jameer and Bijan are gonna get they're gonna get paid.
SPEAKER_06But that's gonna be more so like I don't think it's gonna reset it from a standpoint because one way you're gonna be able to look at it and you're gonna say, yeah, you pay this type of talent for a Bijan or a Jameer Gibbs or whatnot, and obviously they're worth it. Yeah, but at the same time, you look at Jameer Gibbs' case is a little bit different because I feel like if you take Jameer Gibbs off that and replace it with any other good running back, he's still gonna produce their team's still gonna be good. How many of these are like standalone that don't have the rest of the roster around them that's just as good? Like the Eagles are just as good without Saquon as they are with them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but we're not gonna be able to do that. I mean they won a Super Bowl with Saquon, but I'm fucking nuts.

SPEAKER_02But I'm saying I think the running back's a premium position, though. Like it should be.

SPEAKER_06I feel like good running, like the elite of the elite running backs have a bigger impact on it with a good team. Like you look at B. John Robinson and you take him off that team, and I feel like they're the worst team in the league.
SPEAKER_02They're three four-win teams.

SPEAKER_02They got like they're projected like seven and a half wins. I think like three and a half of those.
SPEAKER_06I'm not getting I'm not getting burned by the Falcons over again. Like, I've been so high on ever since Desmond Ritter's second year. I think every year I've been like, oh yeah, the Falcons. They're making they're winning that division because all they are are this.

SPEAKER_06Yeah, still solid. Right. And everybody looks at it and it's just like, oh my god, he's not valuable. I gotta trade Ashton Genty plus something to go get a Jeremiah Love.
